You get it when you produce the soul expander or soul shift with Blessed items only (or almost only). Then you see these insurance scrolls. Because of the need of Blessed items for those the price of the insurance is a bit higher.

For exemple :
If you use 25/25 blessed ingredients, then you will have 100% to craft Shift/Expand IS.

So that means 100/25 = 4.
Each blessed ingredient provides 4 % chance to get them. [Grade 5] Should give less than 1 %, and the others grades probably give a negative amount, but that would be great if we had the exact values. :)

Hmm. I may poke Popcorn and see if he has time to pull up the numbers so we can get exact answers. :)

I indeed have to strongly disagree with this 4% per lv.6 ingredient, as no large scale experiment ever was made public. This kind of linear-law reasoning is exactly what made people believe 11 element resistance were needed to counter 1 element attack, which is, as proven by a few users, completely nonsensical.

While I cannot assume anything regarding your studies, age or anything along those lines, I still dream of a world in which everyone understands that nothing is simple... Strength to Attack is linear (or at least well described as linear), so is Intelligence to Magic Attack, but... I am afraid that is about it. Linearity in a game that is all about optimizing a character has no value, as shown by enchantments and soulcrafts : the higher you go, the higher the bonuses for each rank you pass.

In this case, you could very well assume that chances to craft the hidden item are as follow : 0.5% per lv.6 material until 20 (amouting to 10%), then 10% more for 21 (20%), then 20% more for each other ingredient up to 25 (100%). Or some even harsher rule, such as an exponential function, anything ! You never know with developers.

Welp, I usually do 30 [Grade 6] materials with 10 [Grade 5] materials and so far, out of 15 tries, and so far, I didn't get my scrolls 4 times.

But I truely understand your point of view, but if we assume that the red squares and the yellow squares that are shown when there is the possibility to get a certain amount of item or some IS define a aproximative rate to get the item which is in the square, then we could still base the rates from that.

But of course, that is some (barely understandable) pure specualation.

Worry not, for your reasoning is perfectly understandable.

However, without an insight on how this game was coded nor what the original idea of the developers was, no one can possibly state anything about it other than what you just wrote : out of a certain number of tries, under certain conditions, you succeeded another number of times. While it may, still with a very high risk of thinking the wrong way, give out a general trend or a hint on what the developers were thinking about, it has to be taken lightly.

These were a few attempts with certain results, nothing more, but nothing less either. As such, I appreciate your work, and so does anyone willing to know more about this game. Thank you.

Sorry for bumping this thread. Will we have a true answer regarding this ?
