Hello!

I'm currently using Windows 7 and downloaded the game. However, after putting ragexe and clragexe to run as admin and after several attempts at reinstalling, I still get the message

"The application failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect. Please see the application event log or use the command line sxstrace.exe tool for more detail."

Any help regarding this matter is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Please check under the remove programs list from Control Panel if you have any Microsoft Visual C++ package installed. Take a screenshot or list the installed packages in your next reply.

Get Microsoft Visual C++ 2012 package first, see if this resolves the issue.

Also make sure Ragnarok.exe and ClassicRO.exe are white-listed on Avast's restriction list.

I got the Microsoft Visual C++ 2012 package and Ragnarok.exe and ClassicRO.exe are white-listed on Avast but I'm still getting the same message as above.

Microsoft.VC90.MFC,processorArchitecture="x86",publicKeyToken="1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b",type="win32",version="9.0.21022.8".

First try to get the missing version (2008 release) mentioned in the error log from the following link:
https://www.microsof...ails.aspx?id=29

If the error persists get the 2010 version:

https://www.microsof...ls.aspx?id=5555

Keep us updated.
