Yesterday our ISP attempted to step in and provide assistance with the disconnect issue. The hardware integration that took place did not 100% work as intended, and was causing seperate problems, due to that we had to undo the integration.

This undoing basically left us as we were. To avoid causing those problems again across all services (games web forum etc) we will be integrating and configuring that hardware solution on our forums. Once configured to be correctly stable we will then integrate it into the rest of our services.

Likely the forums will behave oddly or be down entirely while we are doing this configuration, we are going to do this during our normal maintenance time today December 2nd, afternoon. Please don't be alarmed if the forums perform poorly this afternoon, as it is us making testing tweaks.

Thank you for your patience.

I'm still confused. Your post said everything would be offline for yesterdays 'intervention', yet I know of ppl that said disconnects were the same as they had been the entire time. There was no hour of offline. Did your ISP lie to you about doing anything or what?

The switchover and tweaking was expected to take an hour. The amount of disruption that was caused by the physical hardware implementation was about 5 minutes rather than the 40minutes it was last time we had to do this.

However, the configuration couldn't be dialed in as effectively as we wanted. That means that instead of a "haze" of latency but no disconnects happening, it was a complete unavailability of many of our services. The time to fix it would have been longer than our service can allow, so we switched it out, returning us to where we were before.

Today we are reintegrating, but instead of putting it across all services we are starting with forums, and tweak it there. Once it works we will absorb the rest of the services.

Thanks for the clarification. That makes more sense. The new direction seems to be a more effective and efficient plan. Good luck

Currently we are still working on the configuration, we are having to involve some other companies in this to get the equipment to play nice with each other. This is why the fix has not been fully applied on the forum, or at all for the games.

We will update you when more is known.
