If it is a 2020 ban that is a temporary one that the GMs use to investigate. It could be your IP got banned in a mass ban or the account had suspicious activity so the GMs locked it down to investigate. Sometimes players request it on their account if they are away for a long time.
Regardless, the GMs can only help you if you ticket in. I would recommend making a support account to track your ticket.
