EXP event/VIP event continues for one more week!

 

New Spotlight: Morroc!

-During the spotlight event, the exp and drop rate of monsters from Morroc's field maps, the Sphinx and Pyramid dungeons, Ant Hell and the Dimensional Gorge will be greatly increased.

In the past, the spawns of spotlight areas were doubled. From this previous one I could not tell if there was an increase at all, definitely not 2x. What happened to this?

 

And capture the flag sounds interesting. Would be cool to see some effects like slowed movement, mute, occasional chaos (effects not avoidable with stats or status resistance) on users with the flag. Maybe not specifically those, just be creative but reasonable lol.

If you're looking for stuff to do during maintenance, you could look at buffing the drop rates for those handful of items that are currently 0.01%. From memory some of those drops are: Elemental Katars/Books, Thorny Buckler, Orleans Server etc. These are all cool items players may want to specifically farm for, however it's not really possible right now.

 

Also it seems like the number of Archer Skeletons in pay_dun01 is back to pre-Janeway numbers, it could use some kind of a buff.

 

I've also noticed a LOT of bots around, I'm not sure if people are no longer reporting them or if you're no longer sweeping common maps but there's 99 bots in a lot of the usual places right now.

 

A friend yesterday mentioned that Adrenaline Rush Scrolls are not tradable, not sure if that's intended or not. However from that conversation he said that he had seen someone else comment on it earlier and didnt think it was worth commenting on here because it was likely to just get ignored. What should people do to make sure their comment/question/suggestion gets read? Is the Tiki Tuesday thread the best place? People have a lot of good ideas and it's very easy to overlook them if they dont have weight of numbers behind them.

 

Also are you planning on nerfing Green Ale this year? It's been...inconsistent so far on this server but it seems like a bad idea to make them as easily available as they are right now and leave them in year round.

45 wouldn't be so bad if you didn't have 30 of them on a 2.5 minute cool down and fighting the bots for the other 15.

You have two options:

So here's the chart for anyone who is curious what the actual drop rate is:

 

Pretty sure the Subject Aura replaced the Geek Glasses Coupon there. So it's 0.1% before any sort of modifiers. It's very low for a super cool cosmetic that people actually want, that drops from a mid length spawn monster with 5 million HP hidden away in a mostly finished dungeon.

 

You could easily increase it to 5% or so and it wouldnt be too outrageous. If you're worried about drop modifiers making it too common, give the Boss Kobold an entry into the MVP database table and put it at a similar percentage along with some of the usual MVP bonus rewards.

 

Also I'm generally in favour of doing double spawns on Spotlight maps, however there's a few in the Morroc region that have already recieved extensive buffs over the years and dont require spawn increases. I'd actually like a bit more transparency with regards to each spotlight if possible. A note of which monsters got their drops/exp increased and the maps that got buffed would be super useful.
