So i was wondering what are the big differences between the two of them?

I am gonna make a SC (for PVM/MVP) and was wondering if someone could just point out the differences just so i know cause even ttough i am not doing a GX i like staying informed aniways.

SC can't even come close to those DPS. Most SC skills are PvP/WoE purposes.

The big difference is, GX is the most OPed job in the game, while SC(just like all the Rogue type jobs) is byfar the most underpowered job in the game. Literally the only reason to even bother becoming a SC, is reproduce, and the stat points you get for leveling up, that's it.

 

Nearly all their actual skills, are utterly useless sigh.

 

They have debuff skills, that require items to use=enough said, and their entire skill set is full of such skills, making reproduce the only actual useful skill they have, which requires copying a skill(such a hassle).

Well, if nothing else, the job is a zenny maker, so atleast they have that going for them, but that doesn't mean the Job chain Isn't the most underpowed job, it just means there's atleast something good going for them. Over the years, about 3/4 of all the zenny I made, came from my rogue type char, which probally comes to over 2b atleast by now(granted It's a long term thing, but definitely makes it worth it to make one), and that's over 2b in profit.

 

Caster SC builds, and whatnot, is really like a joke build, It's like a Super Novice, It's not good by any means, but It's funny as hell to see.

 

In short, if you want a magic using job, I suggest going with another job instead.

If you want to PVM/MVP GX can do both, especially MVP, although there are videos here showing that SC's can also MVP, just look them up it's still on the 1st page I think or search "Shadow Chaser vs. Bakonawa".

 

Some SC builds are very costly, you need a steady supply of sp regen items since reproduce takes twice the sp of the original skill to cast, A shadow spell SC is much cheaper since you'll be mostly doing ctrl+click with it and it is focused more on PVM, you cannot MVP with it though.

►Earliest to abandon class (SC) 

 

 

The only thing I learned in being a SC is NEVER EVER TRY TO compete with other class especially on super novice because if you do it may break your will to play SC (ex. if AB can kill 10 demi human at bio in just few sec, just accept you can only kill 1 (in almost dying state of HP). Just always smile and be humble & look at yourself small + down everyday.

Despite the fact they'll the best treasure hunters in the game, with auto stealing abilities, thus rather favored by bots, not every Rogue type char is a bot.

It's max agi and max luk. Luk adds higher chance for good drops and perfect dodge for additional flee. Am I ragnaroking right yet?

I would also make sure to have 77 str. It's the magic number for Rogues
