Currently a Lvl 103 RK and veering towards an IB/BB Build till I have enough juice for resetting to DB.

My information and knowledge is a year old and I need someone to get me up to speed.

I am trying to make a Power Farmer/ MVP Hunter kind of a RK.

What Stat and Skill Build should I follow?

Which DB is more effective? Cold or Fire? And should I go DB or IB for MVPing?

I have a budget of 2B presently so can anyone recommend a good gear set for the Build you suggest.

Additionally, I do not wish to play TI to level up since its too boring and RKs are really not the most popular classes. Can I level somewhere at level 103? Currently I am still using LK skills since I dont have anything useful for a RK. My priority is to get IB and then spam IB+BB. I use a One handed+Shield Build presently.

I don't know answers to all questions but...

Which DB is more effective? Cold or Fire?

You better have both, they both are effective in they own situation.

Additionally, I do not wish to play TI to level up since its too boring and RKs are really not the most popular classes. Can I level somewhere at level 103?

Go Nogg2 using Water DB, Yuno is the Spotlighted town this month. Amazing exp there and still have bounties.

Get WDB first to level at Nogg if you're resetting right away. Otherwise by the time you hit 120 you should be able to have both breath skills maxed and you can pretty much level wherever you want.

DB RKs are decent at hunting MVPs, pretty good for farming and average for instances. A physical build is better at some MVPs and most instances, but will require more than 2b to realize its full potential. Regardless of which build you pick for endgame stick with DB to level because it levels way faster.

Cookie cutter DB build basically goes like 120 dex (for the dex boots), 100+ vit and int. Use Temporal Dex Boots for the sweet -0.5 second fixed cast time reduction, leech headgear (Rideword or Vanargand), quad AS carded mace, glorious suit, ea10 FAW and SP enchanted ur's seals. When doing instances/MVPs and you need delay reduction switch to a double AS ea9/10 +9 Tae Goo Lyeon, two expert rings and a high refine Heart Wing Hairband if you have one. We'll be getting the 15.1 update soon which includes an armor+garment combo that gives you an extra 20% delay reduction which will be super awesome if you don't have kiels/strings.

If you decide to go for a physical/aspd build refer to the pinned guide in this subforum which covers pretty much everything you need to know.

By Physical you mean a Physical Skill build of BB/IB. Right?

Yes. An endgame physical build will also typically incorporate agi and crit as well for single target dps

I have been watching some vids and I assume there are 2 ways to go about it.

A DB build usually requires high end gears including MVP cards to excel. Though Hayrohs Vids show him doing quite well with his gear which I assume would require close to a 4B investment.  People mention dual Kiels and a Tao.

A Physical IB/BB/Wind Cutter/CTRL Click Build can do well with high refined stuff like

+9 Black Ribbon

Dark Pingicula BDM

Pirate Dagger

Elemental Armor/Hero Plate when wearable

Temp Boots+Faceworm/

What Accessories and enchants would you suggest? I have 2 RWC earrings on me. But I intend to get a Carefree 250 SP UR seal + something else.

If I am going for physical builds - should I focus on FS enchants as much as possible?

Lastly, whats the best way to reach 120. I just have 10 job levels and I can no longer enter Low TI. Mid TI is a bit harsh for me. I assume I will have to grind somewhere like the Good ol days. Which maps would you recommend for 103-120. I was messing around in Desert wolves last time I played but the exp there is not as good as one would want.

If we're talking endgame PVM, yes, there are two ways to go about it: DB or physical. A DB build without two Kiels and a Tao still does okay, we have and will be getting soon a lot more cheap delay reduction gear that we've never had before, but it'll be slow when it comes to single target dps. A physical build has a higher potential to do better than a non-mvp DB build but it does require more investment, and it's lacking in the AoE dps department.

If we're talking about leveling then DB is far better and more efficient than a physical build hands down.

The best DB accessories would be 250SP Ur's Seals or the new EA enchanted Sara's Earrings (haven't tested those myself yet) for damage, and Expert Rings or Delay Reduction enchanted Sara's Earrings for when you don't have strings. For physical build accessories refer to the pinned guide

Nogg Road is the best leveling spot from 99-125 or so, and what's even better is that there's a spotlight on it currently which boosts the spawn rate and EXP of the mobs pretty significantly. Head there asap

DB build doesnt require high end gears to be pretty good. It does very well without mvps etc. These just make the build top any other in terms of dps against non holy/shadow mobs.

I ll try Nogg Road then.

I dont think I will be having MVPS or Gods anytime soon but I want to be a capable MVP Soloer. I have been seeing all the guides and Vids available here.

I am not a fan of single target hunting, otherwise I would have focussed on a GX. I want my RK to slaughter everything in en mass :D
