I do not know if this legit discussion but since a CM Post mentioned that certain 3rd party aspects are allowed currently, I thought of asking my question.

 

I used RCX for Gutterlines for BB. That no longer works and I am trying its successor(Tinyhook) using a guide Hayroh posted somewhere. This prevents my Ragnarok from starting and makes it crash. Is there anyway to see my Gutter lines. Can anyone teach me how to use the said tool?

You can easily do it legitly without third party programs by mapping /where command in the emoticons, then calculate the gutter line before bowling bash whenever you drag your mobs around. After all, this is an Asian game xD. 

 

II never use RCX and I have no problem with gutterline at all using method above.

The program in question no longer works with the latest client and I doubt the original developer is going to update it. Better check the development status with HayrohsLegacy.

The manual calculating with hotkeyed /where or the BB Dance method is extremely inefficient. I have suffered with it for years till RCX came. I still dont get why BB has not been updated to remove the gutter line concept altogether. The infinite splash was taken care of many years ago.

Even without gutterline, I can't believe people still use Bowling Bash after they put that huge cast delay though. It's almost a useless skill now, you can't even kill a wizard in WoE TE stacking sword guardians xD.

Players mostly use it for status effects and breaking armor.  Shouldn't be expecting enough damage.  It is a 2nd class skill.

I'm talking about WoE TE. Wizzy are squishy as heck and I can't even beat them T.T   I think Magnum break is better for passing status effect though.

For TE it is pretty bad, and MB is better. But the discussion was NOT about WoE at all.. BB is the best 2nd class AoE skill for leveling.

 

to the OP's question though, I found it usefull to do this:

1) BB

2) if BB failed to do decent damage - walk diagnoly down-right or up left 3-4 cells 

3) repeat

 

If you are leveling on the same map, you get used to where it works and not and can get better at this.

I leveled my RK to like 125 with BB in nogg 2 and it was pretty fast with spotlight this time around.

Bowling Bash is such as pots reliant skill when mobbing, and you need even more pots with trial and error method though. Would be nice to have the tool as OP suggested officially supported.

So other than hotkey-ing /where and calculating the coordinates theres no possible way of using bowling bash without dying tons of times from the gutter line?

Low TI is hell using BB, you cant really adapt to the gutter lines since the map is complicated as it is.

Just ended up memorizing spots where it worked and always pulled to those.
