Hi guys, I'm kinda new to the server, been playing for a month now leveling different classes just to determine what I really like to play. And I'm kinda leaning towards making a Genetic. Totally haven't played this class before on all the servers I played.

To be honest, it is somehow demotivating for me as there are a lot to know about homunculus based on the information I'm seeing here in the forums so I just wan't to know kinda the basic ones. I've already read some threads and also visited irowiki and decided to make a Amistr > Dieter homunculus as they said it is good for PvM/MVP.

My questions are:

1. When should i level my homunculus? My Alchemist is level 95 now and has no homunculus at all. Should I level one before I rebirth?

2. I've read a comment in one thread talking about loyal-ing a homunculus twice, what exactly is that? Do I need that for Amistr > Dieter?

3. I've read also that homunculus got random stats as they level, do you need to re-level one if it rolls to poor stats? Does that still exist here in renewal?

That's it for now, a lot of questions to follow I guess once it was answered.  :heh:

Again I'm sorry if all of the information I need is already on the forums, I tried to look for it up to 5 pages but no luck. It would be great if you can give me a link with the information I'm looking for. Thanks and Good day  :thx:  :thx:  :thx:

1. Ant hell is good until 99 if you plan to AFK level it all the way. Hydra pool in Amatsu Field 1 is a good spot as well but make sure your alchemist can tank the monsters there. I heard OD 2 is a good spot to AFK with if you're playing in Chaos server.

2. Amistr is a good homunculus base and regarded as the best homunculus base among others. The good thing about Amistr is that it has high survivability; you can bring it to a more mobby place as it can tank a little better than other homunculi. Raising Amistr-base homunculus is a bit difficult as it doesn't have any offensive skills that can help to kill monsters. That being said, Amistr's ultimate skill, Blood Lust (which is learned when loyal-ed twice), increases Amistr ATK so it can kill a little bit faster. Other homunculi's ultimate skill isn't as useful. If you feel like you really need to learn those skills and might need them in the future, you may do the same. Blood Lust is indeed useful for Dieter as it also increases ATK of certain Dieter skills such as Lava Slide. However, as posted here by DrAzzy, the best combination would be Vanilmirth>Dieter as it renders good HP pool and great stats, among others. Read through the topic I linked. Player inputs might help you.

3. Nope. All homunculi regardless of stat growth will reach max stats cap before they reach 150.

Thanks for the quick response and I'll sure check that link.  :no1:

Regarding the first question, should I level a homunculus before I rebirth or is it okay to level one once I turned biochem?

And with the link you provided me, I am now leaning towards vanil as I've read that it is faster to level. May I know how to

loyal twice a homunculus? Again, thanks a lot.  :ok:

It would be a lot easier for you to have it level-ed before you rebirth so once you turned into a low-level Biochemist, you can have a stronger companion it as it will help you tank and kill monsters. That is if you can spare a little more time to level one to 99 before rebirth. You don't have to make it loyal for now, you can do that once you turned Biochemist.

Edit: If you can spend a lot more time, you can have one turned into evolved form before rebirth. However, loyaling homunculi is such a pain in the ass. Lucky if CMs granted a homunculus loyalty event which is persistently requested by some players.

I am still for Amistr as a base tho for high survivability which will make Dieter a little more tanky. However, the downside of Amistr aside from what I have mentioned from the previous post, it will have a terrible ASPD once mutated into S-form (really terrible) but will be a lot easier once S-form learned its AoE skill which is unlocked at an early level in Dieters. Vanilmirth, on the other hand, is really a good choice too since it has Caprice, w/c works as an auto-bolt skill that snipes and kill monsters a whole lot faster.

To loyal the homunculus twice, you have to loyal the homunculus in its first form (the one you initially summoned from embryo). Once the first form turned loyal, use Stone of Sage to turn it into evolved form (2nd form). The evolved second form will have its intimacy back to Hate w/ Passion upon evolving. Loyaling the evolved form will unlock the ultimate skill. After the evolved form reached 99 and loyal, you can do the Homunculus S Quest. Note that being loyal is generally not necessary when mutating into Homunculus S-form unless you need to unlock the ultimate skill such as Blood Lust in Amistr.

I'd advise not to get the Vanilmirth's ultimate skill as you might mess up the intimacy since its ultimate skill decreases homunculus intimacy. (e.g. accidentally pressed; its pretty useless and not necessary.).  I did it in one of my homunculi which I loyaled twice and I messed up w/ my homunculus intimacy when I accidentally pressed the skill when putting skill points into it. :(

Thanks for the tips, really appreciate it. :) I just got my Amistr today, and realizes how hard it is to loyal a homun. Just to be organize, I'm going to number again my questions.

1. Regarding the loyal-ing for Amistr, is it advisable to loyal it twice?

2. Regarding AFK-leveling, do we really need to get back to it every after 20 mins to feed it? Or is there any trick so I can leave it at night w/o losing intimacy?

3. When will we really need our homunculus? Because I want to take advantage of the Juno Spotlight and hoping to be a Genetic soon, so I'm planning to focus on my character first up to level 120+ maybe or after juno spotlight before I focus on my homun. Would that be fine?

Thanks and Good day!

Thanks for the tips, really appreciate it. :) I just got my Amistr today, and realizes how hard it is to loyal a homun. Just to be organize, I'm going to number again my questions.

1. Regarding the loyal-ing for Amistr, is it advisable to loyal it twice?

Only Amistr is worth loyaling twice. Blood Lust increases ATK as well as it gives a chance of leeching HP from the damage it inflicts to the enemy. Dieters also benefit from Blood Lust since it also boosts the damage of certain Dieter skill.

2. Regarding AFK-leveling, do we really need to get back to it every after 20 mins to feed it?

The most effective way of getting your homunculus to gain intimacy faster is to feed it twice when the hunger point reaches between 11 to 14 (although I recommend you to feed it at 13 or 14) and wait for 20 minutes. In that way, homunculus will receive 2 full points of intimacy, that is 6 points in 60 minutes. Homunculus gets 1 full point in its intimacy if fed when hunger bar is between 11 to 25 but the safest way to do it is to feed it around 14 and feed it twice. Feeding it beyond or less than from the given range will give <1 intimacy points. Leaving it starving will decrease its intimacy points as time goes by until it leaves you.

If you plan to AFK-level without checking it every 20 mins, you can feed the homunculus from 14 up until hunger bar reaches 74 (should not go beyond that) and leave it for 1 hour. However it will not yield 6 full intimacy points compared to when you feed your homunculus twice starting from 14 & checking it every 20 minutes.

Or is there any trick so I can leave it at night w/o losing intimacy

Yes, there is some form of automated 3rd party programs that will do the action for you. It is strictly prohibited and may lead to account suspension. Don't do that!

Homunculus is quite helpful even when leveling especially if you needed some company to tank the monsters for you or help you kill monsters. That's okay if you prioritize to level your character however, it will be great if you dedicate your spare time and build a homunculus as soon as you can so while you progress to level your character, your homunculus also gets stronger and be able to help you better in so many ways. I had my homunculus since before rebirth, it helped me a lot, especially if you gain access to Homunculus S.

Good luck!
