I just noticed last night in WoE that my GX's Double Attacks were missing the Emperium, I already got 529 hit. It wasn't the case before the latest maintenance. I think it's bugged atm.

DD:

But I knew that double attack + left hand dagger equals 3 swings in 1 click. If I were wrong, what's the efficient way to break the Emperium now using a GX?

Best emperium breaker is DD crit build that can hit about 14 hit per second.

If your GX have DA, Single dagger or Katar with DA(sidewinder card | snake head). That's 10.5 hit per second or so.

It shows 2 miss above your character but you still do 2hits.

If you already have 193 aspd with 2 daggers, thats the way to go. If you dont reach 193 for some reason, unequip the mainhand, this will give you some points of aspd, and you'll keep hittng twice each attack.

No, it doesn't. I tested before. If DA proc with DD, you miss all three hit. You better test again.

If DA does not proc, you still can do 2 hit. But, 50% chance you miss all three.

Unless something changed, DD + DA should always hit an emperium. At least back when I WoEd on my GX (it's been a few years though), I never had any missed attacks when using 2 CKs to break.

 

This was happening until the last update. I dunno why I'm missing now.

I've just tested with a plant.

From the log of Battle message, DD + DA proc is actually only one hit. Two misses and one hit. So, the total damage is 1 and you see another 1 as the total damage of double attack. It looks like you hit two 1s. But, the total damage you give is only 1.

 

Or, it does not leave the log on Battle message but hitting 2 damage?

I got to bring Observer and check again.

No no no, DA still deals 2 damage, even though it shows as a miss and the offhand hits for 3 (triple attack)

 

I tested this a lot trying to figure out if a GX was the best way to do it, and it is provided you max your aspd. The battle message only displays what you also see on screen, not what is actually happening where skill shows as a miss despite dealing damage.

 

For example, kill a plant single wield and you'll notice a lot of the time it will die even though you "miss" with DA

this is why when you need to kill event monsters, you always bring a thief class char with DA. they die so much faster even though you "miss"

Now in renewal, it's only two hits. I tested yesterday using Observer and checked a pant HP before and after DD DA proc. You tested it with Emp? and which sever?

I tested it on a plant on renewal a couple of years back. I got myself to 193 aspd and checked what was faster to kill the plant, single wield, or dual. Since Triple attack hits, dual was faster.

If you use only left hand weapon, will be faster than dual wield
