Battle Mode: Death Match
Prizes
1st Place Team:
Will receive an a.Galil (7D) and a.P226 (7D) each, with their choice of either the Firefighter Bundle (30D) or King's Bundle (30D).
Will also be included as the number 1 seed in the Metal Assault Olympics.
2nd Place Team:
Will receive an a.P08 Luger (7D) and the 30 Day costume not chosen by 1st place.
Will also be included as the number 2 seed in the Metal Assault Olympics.
3rd Place Team:
Will receive a SR-40A3 (7D)
Will also be included as the number 3 seed in the Metal Assault Olympics.
4th Place Team:
Will receive a RK-zero (7D)
Will also be included as the number 4 seed in the Metal Assault Olympics.
Remaining Teams that get back the 1st round qualifiers:
Each member will receive 15,000 dini for making it past the first round.
What's the Metal Assault Olympics?
Metal Assault Olympics is a future event that will contain a variety of competitions that incorporate all things Metal Assault.
A 2v2 competition will take place, and by coming in 1st through 4th, you have guaranteed your spot in the Metal Assault Olympics!
The Rules
- No flamethrowers
- No Mines! (amendment to rule, prior to sign up start time)
- No shows have 10 minutes to get in their lobby or it's an automatic forfeit.
- Disconnections:
- Within the first minute WITHOUT any kills on the board, game will restart (only one restart per match).
- With kills on the board OR in the middle of the match, play will continue.
- Substitutions are only allowed in the FIRST game of the group stage. Substitutions are prohibited from the rest of the group and entire Knockout stage.
*Anyone or team found in violation of these rules will result in an automatic lose.*
*Any suspected intentional disconnections will lead to an automatic lose and possible disqualification from the entire competition.*
Schedule of Events
Sign-Ups Begin:
April 27rd at 12:00 Server Time (12 PM PST, -8:00 UTC)
Note: There is a 32 Team Max Limit
Sign-Ups Deadline:
April 29th 17:00 Server Time (5 PM PST, -8:00 UTC)
Group Stage:
April 30th 14:00 Server Time (2 PM PST, -8:00 UTC)
Knockout Stage:
May 7th 14:00 Server Time (2 PM PST, -8:00 UTC)
Week 1: Group Stage April 30th
Teams will play within their randomly assigned groups. They will play each other ONCE in a round robin style. Based on the outcome, your team will be awarded one of the following:
- Victory = 3 Points
- Draw = 1 Point
- Defeat = 0 Points
These will be the groups that teams will be randomly placed in after sign ups close:
- Group A, Mag S | Group B, Mag M | Group C, Warehouse | Group D, Port S
- Group E, Mag S | Group F, Mag M | Group G, Warehouse | Group H, Port S
The group name contains the map you will play on for the ENTIRE group stage. So prepare yourself to play on any of these four maps!
The top two teams from each group with the highest accumulated points will move on to the knockout stage. In the event of a Tie, a best of 5 TEAM FREE BATTLE with 2 minutes rounds will be used.
Week 2: Knockout Stage Saturday May 7th
- Teams are arranged in a bracket based on how they finished in their respective groups.
Left Side of Bracket
- Group A 1st Place vs Group B 2nd Place
- Group C 1st Place vs Group D 2nd Place
- Group E 1st Place vs Group F 2nd Place
- Group G 1st Place vs Group H 2nd Place
Right Side of Bracket
- Group A 2nd Place vs Group B 1st Place
- Group C 2nd Place vs Group D 1st Place
- Group E 2nd Place vs Group F 1st Place
- Group G 2nd Place vs Group H 1st Place
The knockout stage is single elimination, so only ONE game will happen between teams to determine a winner. This will continue until there is only one left standing at the top. Maps for each round will be released after the group stage has ended
