I thinking in made a GX/Ranger account, mean, all of 9 slot for just 1 class, ranger or GX, but im not sure what is the best option, i know can made 2 accounts and leveling both, but for now i just want focus in just one, both are easy to level, but as i remember some 2 or 3 years ago, Assassin cross was a little slow that Sniper to get 3rd class... oh well what do you guys thinks? i dont care about how much zenny need.

Assassin is a bit slower to level but if you VIP it you can put BB and Gramps TIs all into base to make it quicker. I found Meteor Assault to be plenty sufficient for levelling an Assassin Cross. Helps to use a Chakram. I used an uncarded but enchanted one and it was plenty good enough. Since being an Assassin is only going to play a small part in your levelling it won't make too much difference.

 

Archer is just plain easy to level from beginning to end. Either way both are still quick and easy to level to max.

Rangers are super lame. Make one if you want to spend your life using only one skill and everyone hating you for doing so.

 

GX's at least require a tiny bit of skill.

I have both. both are easy to level depending on your playstyle. I find it easier to level a GX since I have most of the leeching gears i need. Ranger costs less to gear up (clean white wing set, elven bow, sound amp) and is more party dependent.

Well, looks like everyone agreed about GX is the best option

something i agreed about it is weight and they can doing a lot instances, im not sure about future instances and dungeons like biolabs nightmare, but well, i wait for more suggestions, but probably be GX. i start tomorrow.

in term of leveling, I think leveling as Ranger is much more fun. You are always welcome in a party and need small budget compared to GX to be efficient.

 

Doing RC everyday with GX can caused a brain cell apoptosis.

Gx is a one skill class too maybe you back slide to change up but same stuff buff up aoe wing or ctrl click ocassional greed. If you have funds for solo gx if not ranger.

Seems like GX is a solo class and you're going to have a bad time getting to 175 if you're not rich. Parties will only take you in if they can spare a slot, and often not in bio4 party. Also why playing solo in an official server? I think RO is kind of a casual game meant to be teamed up with people. 

I don't get all the Ranger bashing. As long as you understand the skill and its basic mechanic, all class takes little to no skills to play, relative to other modern games like LOL or Starcraft, Highly skilled players are also capped by how laggy this game is. The complexity in the RO's mechanic is very low even bots can often play it better in PvP. 

 

I think the difficult part in RPG game is usually comes down to game knowledge and economy, not gaming skills. Those are not usually as shallow as the gameplay because its complexity is defined by how large the market is and how complex the gear systems are. RO often reward players with the most knowledge and ones who can exploit the market. For example, I'd argue that many newer players have no idea you can trade 2 weapon certs to 1 body armor certs. So a lot of players who have these information been buying them cheap off noobs at 6m, converted it to body armor, and sell easily sell them at 15-16m. Making huge profit based on access to exclusive knowledge alone, and becoming more powerful by having more zeny to access more gears. These information are actually available to everyone, but only you just have to explore and beware of the news. Ragial kind of dumb down the economy game by quite a bit though.

 

Personally I don't see any fun making 10 GX and farming same instances 10 times a day.... But if that's what float your boat, hey it floats your boat.

A GX has 0 problems getting to 175. you just need edps and a thanatos katar. if you get some leech gears you don't even need pots.

yes, and i hate waiting 4 hrs just to do a 30 minute bio4 party. when i think "casual game" i think: log on for 30 min or an hour, do some leveling, log off. like what you'd be doing on a GX, which can easily solo lots of things until 175.

Well you can join a guild, make friends in the game, or utilize forum to schedule a party instead of waiting in lhz for hours. I got to 175 with my guildies and it never took us more than 30 minutes to get the party started.

 

I don't understand the reason behind playing online multiplayer game if you're going to solo your way through the end of the game, especially on iRO. The rate is horrible, you'll be grinding your teeths out for weeks before you get to 175. Also not only it's taking a lot of time, it is also pretty expensive. A lot of leeching gears are from the cash shop. +9 Vanargand heim is easily $30, and that's just a single helmet.

 

It would kind of unwise for anyone who value their time and budget to be playing alone in iRO, in my opinion. But hey it works for some people I guess.

if the game devs planned for this to be a strictly multiplayer experience, they wouldn't keep releasing solo only content

OP said he doesn't care how much zeny is needed. the easiest would definitely be GX, but i guess it depends on whether OP has a group of people to power level with all the time. with aldebaran spotlight, it only took a few days to 175 a GX in NCT. no hp/sp pots needed either. it was stupid easy.

Both Ranger and GX can level rather quickly in NCT.  At one point I was considering making a +12 bxb (dbl ppe)  just so I can one shot the big bells to leech my sorc in there.  But I went the bio4 route.

GX is immortal in PvM with the right gears and less effort . Ya don't even have to bother potting and won't go back to re-supply often.
