after 8 months of not playing RO, i decided to come back and try to level up my RK. They said that there were some updates that involved DB and wDB.

 

What should be my weapon now if i will use DB as purely my skill? quad AS weapo or quadl malicious is still good? thanks!

I think nothing changed much in the last 8 months. HWHB is probably the greatest thing we've had.

HWHB = Heart Wing Headband if I'm not mistaken, mainly used for delay reduction at high refine. I suggest to have both weapons if you can so you can switch if you need healing. It will save you a lot of healing items.

Basically just comes down to what you want/need.

 

More damage? Go AS. More leech? Go HF.

 

Whatever you do though, don't mix and match them in the same weapon.

is the difference in damage between HF and AS weapons significant? for now, I only have the malicious weapon and i'm not sure if I should still buy AS weapon just for levelling purposes. thanks for the reply

The damage is definitely significant (40%) specially as you level up,  but different weapons for different purposes. Quad carded AS weapons seems to be the next best weapon of choice for DB after +9 double AS TGL ea10 so it is really a good cheap weapon that will help you level.

 

Anyways AS card run for around more or  less 7m in both servers and you can definitely farm for 4 of it just leveling in nogg road and looting in about a week even if you are lazy.

I would get Rudolf hat over hunter fly if you need cheap HP. As DB RK, you always want to keep HP full at all times, and I don't have time to keep gambling hoping to proc the HP leeching until then. I just switch out my hat and eat 20-30 carrots real quick in a middle of action to fill up the HP instead.   I would also switch to RWH or Vana when I am less than 40% SP to start leeching as well though, then back to Turkey or damage head gear.

HWHB is like 1B, so that's probaly out of your price range.

You could look into Malicious Shadow Gear also. They are dirt cheap right now and you can just upgrade them to +5 yourself. You got 90% chance from +4 to +5.

oh better yet, get a blood sucker. A lower headgear that leeches hp, you use it in conjunction with a vanagard helm for both hp and sp leech.

blood sucker is not a good option for RKs since it disables HP/SP recovery (unless you go 100% with overweight), also it only leech HP, the safest option is Malicious Set which has -1% rate than BS of HP leech.

thanks for the replies. for now im trying to do solo levelling. i cant keep up with the sched of the LHZ party people in my server. is the nightmare clocktower my only choice if i want to go solo? which is better, DB or IB fir that dungeon? thanks
