Seeing as this has not been posted in a while.
I'm going to post a few graphs so people won't have to read the whole thing.

In layman's term, what does this mean?

That 2014 was their worst year and that they've been slowly earning more since then. I didn't read the whole report, just the graphs.

at least you can read the graph. I am allergic to numbers so I had to look away from it. Kudos to the people who spent their money to keep the game the game alive.

looks like a steady decline in assets that they have probably been liquidating to compensate for the loss in revenue and net profit margin. Also looks like a steady trend in profit loss each year since 2011. Seems like they have a while before they'll probably consider bankruptcy though.

I'm not sure why this was moved. The last thread(in 2013) was only moved because the discussion veered off to other games.
This should be in RO community chat.

<> Considering that according to the report like 46% of the revue is generated from RO1, I think it is relevant for general discussion.

oh ohh. It has been moved to a dead place. RIP to your thread.
Well, we all know that RO1 will come to an end, it's just a matter of when.
Posted 04 May 2016 - 01:12 AM
anyways RIP thread.

I'll post it again if I must. Although I'd like it if it was moved back.

so can we play iRO until 2067?

doubtful, based on the current trend in declining revenue and decreasing profit margin, I don't think RO will be viable for the company to support after 2020. Not without doubling the playerbase. But what do I know, I'm just a registered nurse. /shrug

Heh, subtle...

NA is the third largest revenue source (after Japan and Korea). like, excluding Taiwan/HK/Macau market, USA/Canada pulls in more revenue than everyone below them COMBINED. So if people think iRO is dying, all the other servers outside the kRO/jRO have been cremated and had their ashes thrown into the ocean.
also, the average concurrent users for iRO is larger than ACUs for kRO and jRO because of bots.
Doesn't jRO get like 15k+ ACU? This thread comes to mind

Losses continue, another $17 million gone and a major competitor has entered the market. Probably will have a large loss next year, and once again no project in development to change course. Gravity Interactive is almost over 100% debt to income ratio. Dragonica brings in $200k, ROSE and Requiem bring in less than $200k. I am doubtful Requiem and ROSE will be around next year.

You must be blind-sided if you believe those numbers. jRO, iRO, and kRO are inflating their stats.. Fine work of creative accounting. I'm willing to bet they are going to do the same when Dream Square (China) launches their web/mobile product.

Shocking, Gravity just had it's first quarter since Q3 2013 where they had a net income gain. This is mainly attributed to opening service in Taiwan and decreased salaries (firing people).

They still lose money on sending it to Gravity Interactive since Gravity Interactive is always operating at a loss.

Gravity seems to have turned it around with 3 positive quarters. Last year as a whole was positive. There was a $15 million increase in revenue year over year mostly attributed to revenue from South East Asia. Ragnarok Online 2 and Dragonica represented 1% of total revenue. Requeim Online and ROSE represented less than 1% of total revenue most likely a net loss. Gravity Interactive had a healthy increase in revenue to around $4 million which should be enough to continue operations with a small support team and meet debt obligations. Since November 2017, GRVY stock went from $3/share to $18/share. I think it is a little late to jump on the stock for a nice boost as the company does not have any future products planned in the near future.
