Hey everyone,

are there any builds out there that allow you to make good progress in PVM with ctrl+click attacks instead of managing multiple skills at once to take mobs down?

Cheers

Multiple skills? What is that?

Most classes become 1 skill wonders, like Arrow Storm Rangers, Dragon Breath Runeknights, Flash Combo Suras, etc.

Though you can control click for the 1-99 leveling stage, once you become 3rd class you'll need AoE skills to level efficiently. Though there are some autoattack builds that work fairly well: Battle AB, Auto Shadow Spell Chaser, Auto-Warg Ranger and DD Crit GX

The most simple yet effective auto attackers are guillotine cross and ranger.

There are more difficult to finance but effective ones like rune knight.

There are some that work but are under effective like mechanic, and even less effective ones like wanderer, arch bishop or kagerou.

There are some that have less effectiveness, high cost, and more limitations on skill use like shadow chaser or sorcerer.

mech also great, due to their maximum overthrust and their extra 100 hard def and 5% neutral resistance for tanking mobs while not wearing shield

For leveling? Not really unless you're fine with taking forever to level since you'll be earning exp at probably less than 1/10th of what you'd earn mobbing. For endgame PVM refer to kaddy's post

you don't need multiple skills to take down mobs once you're third class. most just consist of spamming one button anyway, but instead of killing 1 mob at a time you're killing 10.

True , but they lack options.

  • They dont have EDP.
  • Ineffective critical builds. (Ctrl Click is typically critical)
  • Lack of critical weapons (muramasa, katars, etc).
  • Lack the HP pool of an AGI RK needed at higher levels cuz of mob magic skills and ridiculous flee rate needed to evade mobs.
  • Lack of gear Sets to accomodate AGI builds (Peuz Set, Mora etc)

Also, kind of off topic, but HSCR does NOT proc HP/SP drain i.e. Rideword, Nidhoggurs, Hunter fly cards.

- maximum overthrust is the EDP, no limit and frenzy to mech.
- they can use the highest atk weapon in the game, pile bunker. in 15.1 there will be slotted ones that buffs ASPD per refine, aunoe card able to be put on it
- no need specialized mora set since using temp luk boots and petal faw is already enough for that
- easier to get 193 aspd due to adrenaline rush + berserk pot
- merchant medal of honor is a bako tattoo

feels like comparing apple to orange if you keep comparing other class with their advantages and disadvantages (of course they gonna be different since each of them are unique in their own way). but hey, at least cory tried

-Temporal LUK boots/Petal Card only give critical damage.  And you're not going to have a good time with 120 LUK as a mechanic.  Nice one.  -___-

-You can try 120 Agi, but you're still going to be taking damage at higher levels because any effective mechanic gears lack FLEE/Perfect Dodge or a large HP pool w/o investing a ton in VIT.

So what you're stating is that Mechanic is just as good CTRL-Clicking as a GX, Ranger, and even RK.  That's not going to happen  .

I've yet to find a 120LUK/120AGI mechanic in this game, but there's plenty of GXs, Ranger, and some RKs that go this route.  There's a good reason for that.

but hey, at least you tried.

Too much salt. I thought I did a pretty good job outlining what classes can auto attack with some level of success but if you guys wanna debate the split hairs you can do that in private.

Mechs are probably the underdog class for ctrl+click, I would know.

I personally love my axe mech. There attack is decent and their aspd is great. You're going to need some specialized gear to get the best damage, including gear coming in the 15.1 update. I prefer a mix of ctrl click, axe tornado, and smart use of magma eruption.

Aside from the obvious powerhouses of gx, ranger, rune knight you have decreasingly less effective auto attackers. Mechanic is the best runner up.

Maximum power thrust is a great advantage over other auto attack character types. Adrenaline rush used to make or break the auto attack thing, but with a wealth of aspd gears now (especially with the shadow/costume layer) its not a deciding factor.

Kagerou/oboro has the earth charms and dual weild to get good damage as well. They're a lot less tanky than mechs though.

Battle bishops have duple light and some crit enhancing cards. They can self endow holy, but that's only effective vs a few types of enemy element/race combinations.

Chasers and sorcerers can autocast stronger spells when auto attacking but requires strategic skill use (such as water spell vs fire enemy etc).

Rebel does a good job with their chain action and the new high attack weapons. They also have some aspd boosting self buffs and platinum alter.

Wanderers have swing dance whick makes 193 *with a shield* more possible than other jobs, but its not as effective as higher dps.

Just about any class can auto attack for fun. Rgs with spear quicken, super novice with double attack and self buffs, sura with Trifecta blow and low delay knuckle weapons, Soul linkers with their 50 critical Dagger of counter, etc.
