New Pile Bunker and 15.1 Mech Gears Question

 Now that the new mech gears are out, I just have a couple of questions for those who've tested out the new gears.

 

1.  The 3 New Pile Bunkers look awesome.  They're all level 4 weapons now, but which ones do you think are most efficient/worth it?  Pile Bunker S and T are both slotted, but come with only 400 atk.  Comparing that to Pile Bunker P which comes in at 450 atk, and gives additional atk per refine.  You guys think Archer Skeleton card could help make it compete?

 

2.  The Upgrade Part Set and it's oh so very sexy arm cannon bonus!  My biggest question here is, how does it compare to losing both temporal boots and FAW?  Should most Mado Mechanics now forego those former staple mech gears and in turn respec their stats as 120 in one stat is no longer needed?

 

Finally, I don't think the website/database was able to post the added Bonuses of the Supplement Armor Set.

 

The Armor ( Str ) when used with the other parts give the following bonuses:

 

1.   With Boots ( Agi ) Give Atk +30

2.   With  Garment ( Con ) Gives Axe Tornado +25%

3.  With Accessory ( Dex )  Gives Axe Boomerang +100%

i wonder if str supplementary will give all bonuses if used along with dex, con and agi parts?

1.  The Pile Bunker P at +7 already gives 24 more atk than a regular +12 Pile Bunker so do the math on that one heh.  I deff wouldn't mind having an AK/AS set of Pile Bunker S.  T has no use for me.

 

2.  The armor sets are for Mechanics so I would say yes for Arm Cannon/Axe Tornado.  You can always mix the Booster/Dex accessories while keeping a FAW and Temporal to fit your needs.

Yeah stoenr, the new pile bunker is just that much awesome haha.  I just hope someone who has the new gears could give us an idea how much of a difference it makes. 

 

Could those Pile Bunkers be enchanted as well?  I've seen some enchanted supplement armors pop up in ragial.

If you trade the npc a +9 pilebunker does it give you back a +9 or does it make it +0?

I believe it would be a +0.  Most npc trades won't carry over item refinement levels.

My plan is to slap on AK on Pilebunker T, but I guess if you don't have it then you might as well go with the Pilebunker P. I think FAW and Temporals are better still, but this is a nice alternative since Charleston is way easier than OGH to solo and FAW is a dirty cash item.

hydra for woe? maybe using knuckle boost accs, KB can be a reliable skill in woe when waiting SD cooldown and no strings to spam ice launcher

Great suggestions everyone.

 

Why'd you think that FAW and temporal boots are better than the new mech gears seaechiowai?  50% Arm Cannon, 25% Knuckle Boost,  Cast Delay 20% for the +9 Garment which comes with another 10% Neutral Damage Resistance.  I can't wait to see some tests and comparisons with the old mech staples =)

 

Oh and a related question,  which of these gears are enchantable and what kind of enchantments can they get?

temp dex boots remove fixed cast time for arm cannon for more spammability and DPS

Yes, I agree that helps a lot.

How'd that compare with the cast delay reduction plus the huge increase in arm cannon damage?

Do the math with 10 seconds as a medium time and you will see the dps output difference

I tested this briefly, so the numbers might not be totally correct.

 

Level 138/29

Str 97+3

Agi 1+2

Vit 95+4

Int 1 +3

Dex 120+ 2

Luk 1+6

 

 

+7 Pile Bunker P

+9 Immune FAW

Temp Dex boots (BP + EA4)

 

Avg. damage against poring = 22-23k

 

+7 Pile Bunker P

+7 Upgrade Part - Plate

+7 Upgrade Part - Engine

+7 Upgrade Part - Booster

Upgrade Part - Gun Barrel 

 

Avg. damage against poring = 24-25k

 

The set gives a slight increase in damage but with a slower cast time. With the FAW and Temp boots I can cast twice as fast as the set. I probably will mix and match but will not be using the whole set.

you didnt specify enchant of your FAW. also, how about knuckle boost? is stacking 2 of them works?

Honestly, the damage increase is kind of disappointing....  But those new mech gears aren't enchanted yet right?  Just wondering if you can get Expert Archer enchants on those...

 

Would also love to see a knuckle boost comparison just as fuyukikun stated.  Maybe check if the gun barrels stack too ^^

I have done some testing with knuckle boost as well. The skill level was only level 2.

 

With just a +7 pile bunker p I was getting 7k hits on porings.

 

With the weapon and 1 barrel I was getting 9k hits.

 

With the weapon and 2 barrels I was getting 11k hits.

 

It seems they do stack, decent damage output. I can see hitting 30-40k per hit with great equips at max skill level. 

 

@fuyukikun Sorry, I forgot to specify my enchants on my FAW. It is a +9 Immune FAW (EA10)

so DPS wise, wearing temp dex boots and ea FAW will outdamage the set. so i think i will just need to get those 2 gun barrels.

Yea, those two will definitely out dps the set. Knuckle boost will do some great damage once fully geared and buffed. Tempted to throw some gold scaraba cards in the barrels.

using the right element, i can do 30k dmg per KB. with 2 barrels maybe i can do 40-43k (not 45k since previously i use 2x pendant of maelstorm gold scaraba carded). also i dont know if zerom card or DLE concentration 3 will outdamage gold scaraba cards.

Switching out the pendants with just barrels should give at least a 40% increase in dps, more with cards. I am probably wrong but I would go with straight attack from the gold scaraba cards, I will have to do the math on that one.

knuckle boost dmg increased by dex thats why zerom, DLE and hawkeye boots may be considered.

Yea, the wiki says, "For every point of the caster's DEXATK increases by 1%." DLE would be 4% each, 3% for Zerom. If you have enough base attack it would be worth it. 

 

Barrels can be enchanted? Is that this update?

Interesting, the set may edge out the boots+ FAW depending on the available enchants. I will need to look into it more.
