If it's possible, could you increase the max URL length allowed under profile settings
"Enter a URL to an online avatar image" field?

Evidently it's not long enough to allow me to use my google photo link.
Ex:
http://lh5.ggpht.com...800/128x128.png

cuts off at ~90

Yeah it doesn't allow me to put the entire url for my avatar, an extension would be nice.

Try using a different service for hosting the images.

My URL was from photobucket, it's too long to put into the text box he's right, it needs to be extended.

It was extended slightly. If your still having problem, shorten the name of the file or find a different host.

Try using tinyurl. It may sound stupid but it actually works for <img src="">.

Nevermind, they wouldn't let you link that. xD

Thank you so much Calanor, as you can see it's good for me now. I love using google's photo servers (picasa)
Hopefully the others get things worked out as well.

Maison, try it again, I got mine to work now
Just make sure the original file name isn't too long. 15 or less should work
(*It's now a 100 char field up from 90)

I can't use tinyurl to shorten it, and I use photobucket.
