Hi guys,

 

Just wanna ask what would be the best garment for FS-AB, also thinking about becoming an ado ab in the future as well.

 

i have 3 options i think:

HBP

Archangel wing (heal???)

FAW(sp19)

-another question is, does the matk from the sp enchants of faw affects your heal? i have read that heal only affected by weapon matk on iro wiki page. from what i understand the sp enchants will be equipment, am i right? 

 

sorry for the noob questions, im kind of inclined to go with faw but i dont wanna spend for something that wont enhance my healing skills coz faws are pretty expensive. 

 

hope experienced AB's can enlighten me with this.

Yes,those three are widely known to be proper for an AB.

Second question is also yes,using heal with or without max spell on FAW is still the same amount.

Another garment would be Giant Faceworm Snake Skin with high INT enchant.

oh so the matk from sp faws are useless when it comes to Heal skill.. hmmm

so do you only use it for AB offensive skills like ME or Ado? or just for the variable cast time reduction?

 

Zeny wont be an issue i have enough to buy either of those 4 (including GFSS with int, if i can find one) but just want to make sure i buy the best one possible for full support

I'm sorry,I don't have enough knowledge when it comes to AB build other than FS as I only play FS AB myself so I can't answer that.

MATK doesnt play that big factor in your heal potency. Spell faws are mostly used for the cast reduction for FS builds.

I like +9HBP for the 10% neutral reduction, or Giant Faceworm Skin with Dex for hp/sp+faster cast

I use GFSS with dex together with dex boots for sweet cast. Heals are meh since if your party doesn't pot, you're probably gonna be dead too.

for now ill go with HBP since its cheaper and i dont have 120 dex yet.. 

 

do you guys always go for 120 dex for cast reduc for ab?

Depends, if you have a certain bunch of peeps to always support, you'll get used to their play style. I couldn't be bothered about super duper high heals when I'm on my gene/gx/ranger so my gf's AB is geared towards cast. 

With full cast gears (except GCW), the high heal lvl5 still heals for 11-12k which is not too shabby for a level 160.

For me,I do.It's all the cast time reduction I need so far.No need for another variable cast time reduction gear.

I like FAW spell with temporal dex boot. With sacrement, you cast is so fast it's almost instant. So I free up for Phen or Orlean's.

At higher levels, unless you stack %cast reduction gears, dex is always better. Hence the choices to go for GFSS dex above. Not to mention it's cheaper!

If you're going to use the temporal boots then faceworm is an option. I'd stick to heroic backpack if you're wearing different footwear.

in term of price and effectiveness your best choice is nidhoggur shadow garb, it reduces damage from all elements by 7%. very good if you frequently fight different kind of monster and magical type monster. the downside is no garment sprite 

 

for boosting heal you can pick either of GFSS int or AAW heal enchant 3-5

 

 

*1 int increase 1% heal amount

I dont have temp boots yet (currently using enhanced variant shoes[sohee]). so at higher levels temp dex boots would be better with gfss-dex/fawsp19?

It totally depends on what situation you're playing AB in.For example:

1.When doing Bio 4,I use GFSS enchanted or sometimes Nid Garb.

2.HBP is whenever I do ET/OGH/BB.

3.FAW someplace else where I need to spam Spellbreaker like crazy.

slotted temp dex + slotted giant faceworm skin is preferred because
of the hp it can give, as well as the -0,5s fixed cast time reduction.

 

for bio4 i prefer to use temp dex (gold acidus) +  faceworm skin (int+1, vit+1) (jakk card)
because i need to use bible v2 which doesn't give the fire reduction valk shield has.

if the stats hasn't reached the temp boot bonus, then i think variants + nid garb or faw would be best.

You need a better GFSS.

i do have one though its raydric carded. neutral attacks doesn't really hurt much in bio4

the one's that killing me most was celia's 2x fireball.

i don't have fire resist on my build, that's why i think it would be more beneficial to have it jakk carded instead.

i use fireproof potion, but i don't think its enough.

yeah i did mistake, 1 int increase sp healing item effectiveness such as strawberry, mora mandarin by 1% , not healing recovery.  

 

but int still affect heal formula

As an obviously experienced AB my suggestion boils down either towards:

For supports getting a +9hbp with deviling card for 60% neutral resist or archangel wing with heal 5. You will be getting 120 int/dex so casting is no issue even without instant cast anyways, but each to their own. Dex boots if you really want. Just letting you know that casting heal non-offensive also counts towards runaway magic proc.

As an Ado AB i cannot stress enough that the mora judgement set with empowered mace is the only set you need. Outside it you will cripple the offensive power dramatically.

If you're playing other character like WL/ Sorc / Gene,  Raydric Niddhogger or Raydric FAW spell would be the best garment as you can share those for other classes as well.
The 30% reduction in cast time is very noticeable even with 120 DEX 120 INT and DEX boot for high APM players. Under magic string, you can recast Sacrement to all 12 party members in under 5 seconds. Or you can instantly Kyrie yourself without Phen / Orlean to get yourself out under sticky situation.

If you like to take things slower and have no other alts.  I think GFSS or Nidd would be cheaper and better alternative. I can't recommend defaulting Deviling as it's a situational piece of gear. AB shouldn't be taking melee damage most of the time anyways, so I would choose elemental reduction like Nidd + Jakk card for example. You can probably buy every elemental reduction sets and still have plenty left over zeny for just 1 Deviling HBP. Also there very few neutral attack that cannot be out healed / pots comparing to elemental attacks and magic. You won't likely encounter those outside MvPing / WoE.

For PVM I would def recommend asprika or valk mant. Cast time should only be any issue at lower levels.

Actually the only gears a FS ab really need is a phen card and a Cure lvl1 ring. The rest is skill related. 

 

Very well geared AB's have it easy, and can afford to do silly mistakes like walking in front, tanking mvps, spam col heal, etc

If you playing ME AB FAW spell can boost matk

FS AB usually use defensive garment like HBP, GFSS or niddhogur

For cast time only slightly different using FAW spell and other garment with temporal dex boots and 120 dex/120 int stat. Especially at sacrament u barely notice it

I'm personally use FAW spell now for reduc phen cast penalty, for ME-ing and sharing with other class

Deviling nice too but rarely case you Will using it. Like tank belzebub maybe

+9 HBP for Tanking neutral atk monster and nid for Tanking neutral+magic atk monster

GFSS for more HP and boost some stat

From budget nid>GFSS>HBP>FAW>deviling garment
