It's dumb and doesn't prevent the abuse it's intended to stop.

 

Instead, it prevents legit players from Bowling Bash Dance.

I have a better idea

Lets remove magic strings and gear tgat reduce delay and let people re-strategize from ground up without these broken and inconsistent rate of fire mechanisms on RO

remove all skill cooldown, aftercast delay & variable cast time from the game for ALL JOB CLASS. That way everybody can have nocast & nodelay.

It doesn't seem iRO have the ability or the intention to change that, I assume you have gone through this thread to see CM Campitor response on the issue, if not check it out.

The idea of getting cast delay off is stupid now anyway. People spent billions of zeny and time to get mvp cards to get ahead and we have small fry whine about it so they have more of a level playing ground for less work.

 

Bad idea is bad.

Blacksmith class needs to be able to make Level 4 weapons first. And NPC vendor armor.

Cant think in the past. Fast forward that and go to 5 lol.

 

and if that choice is too much i say Remove the game from the game ^.^ that would fix everything tu tu ru

let the Blacksmith class able to forge god's item after all 4 seals are released.

 

Now we can call them a Godsmith, a 4th class job.

Now, With iRO's custom silly Server-wide Delay of 0.5S (did kRO even approve this? Or do they not care because its not their server?)

1. ASPD-based skill's original DPS intention: If you have high aspd, you can do a lot of damage through spamming. They usually have decent but not OP modifiers since Aspd is easier to achieve.

 

BB continues to do 10K.

  • 193aspd in a second now becomes:
    10K-------10K= 20K per second. ----> in 5 seconds you do 100K. This has ENTIRELY DESTROYED such skills? 350K---> 100K!

 

Note: Now it doesnt even matter if you had 190 Aspd or 193, Or even anything in the 180 range. 2 hits per limit is what you get at 171 aspd! Can you see how the original ASPD reward intention was taken away? THIS IS A PROBLEM.

 

OVERALL Conclusion for 1&2: ASPD skills just got smacked to hell for doing nothing wrong, when problematic skills are BARELY as impacted.

 

 

This "Band-aid" fix has been in too long and now the wound is crusty and oozing full of Pus because of this.

I disagree, this isn't even an intelligent proposal. It's a biased one that's trying to mislead people into getting your pet build buffed. If you want your pet build buffed, you should be direct with it, not misleading.

 

Original Skills back at their arrival & today:

Bash = DPS skill. 500%, 1 target

Mammonite = DPS skill. 600%, 1 target. Slightly more damage and lower sp cost than bash due to added zeny cost.

Double Strafe = DPS skill. 380%, 1 target. Lower damage than mammo because of range and easier access to elements.

Bowling Bash = NOT a DPS skill. 1000%, 3x3 targets. --- BALANCED BY HIDDEN CAST TIME/DELAY.

 

Additional kick in your argument's nuts

The skills you claim are doing > 2000% are 3rd (4th tier) class skills.

Bowling Bash is a 2nd class (2nd tier) skill

 

Trying to act like these 2 types of skills are the same is misleading. It reveals your agenda.

 

Without delay bowling bash would be uncontestably be mathmatically better than bash in any application, including single target. That doesn't even make sense, as they come from the same class, in the same low-level training block of time. This is like arguing storm gust should be superior to cold bolt when targetting 1 enemy that needs to die real quick. SG is intentionally slower as a tradeoff for being able to AoE, as bowlingbash is vs. bash.

Bash stops being useful for the same reason cold bolt does -- single-targetting things is ineffective. Really this isn't an indication of a problem with single target skills, but how monsters are designed.

Um.  the argument was for

  • Removing the server wide after-cast delay
  • Instead, Implement hard after-cast delays for high damage skills like DB or cart cannon. (this was the reason for the server-wide after cast delay)

Not buffing a specific skill.  Did you read the whole post?

 

It was just a lazy-ass fix by gravity, which consequently made high attack speed that correlates with higher skill DPS obsolete.

BB's hidden cast time is reduced by DEX.

It's also affected by attack speed which is affected by AGI. 

 

Back in pre-renewal BB can be spammed and "danced" with high DEX and AGI.  Then animation cheating came along with the advent of DB animation canceling spam, and ruined the party for everyone.  

 

Now all skills are affected, rendering hidden cast time and attack speed animation reduction basically topped at stupidly low atk speed.  There's no incentive to continually achieve high attack speed to get the highest DPS from skills without hard after-cast delays.

 

So why isn't there a hard after-cast delay on the problematic skills instead of just applying a big fat band-aid to everyone?

 

 

WHOA WAIT IS THERE NO SERVER WIDE 0.2 DELAY?

Ninja skills at least dont have any sort of after cast delay, i can spam literally at 193
