Which could still be several weeks/months out.
But I do sympathize with him. Currently it costs around 12,000,000,000 zulie to reset your stats and skills one time with the market inflation it's at. pure insanity.

Can't you do it once for free at the Junon polis mayor?

Yes- you get one free skill and stat reset at level 50 or above. After that, you have to purchase the resets from either the Item Mall or a player.

Let's be honest, the term 'purchase from other players' is misleading. They're only available in the IM.
That's part of the problem too. Because there's no in-game way at all to do it, even if it was expensive or time consuming to achieve, it enables players who purchase them from IM to severely overcharge for them. Having at least ONE in-game method, even if it was a hard task to achieve, it would at least keep the prices in check at a certain softcap/ceiling. But because there isn't anything keeping the prices in check; the prices are like selling your soul just to afford one.

Gotta agree with you on that. I don't buy anything from a shop that I can get from the IM directly because of the ridiculous prices ppl are charging for everything these days.
Where I came from, we only had one free skill and stat reset too... and no Item Mall option either. Had to wait until there was a coupon code for an event or w/e and hope that a reset was included with the other goodies. I'd have to admit that resets are more necessary here due to the number of changes we get on a regular basis. It's not always possible to find the right set-up for your playing style in just 24 hours.
I don't know how much the reset skill books in the IM affect sales overall, but even if there was an in-game option, a lot of people would still probably opt to get them from the IM for convenience.

It's easy to see what the top selling items are.
Reset Books.
Passives.
Premium Service.
Refine Materials + Protections.
and of course LS.

i agree with you all but i hope the rose community will do something about the pricing. for example they will make a price cap for all of the item if necessary so all the item can be affordable for all of us rose players.....for a newbie like us that cannot afford of there price nothing we can do we are only hoping for the free skill and reset stats event.,.,.unless the zullie drop of each monster you kill is 1m zullie well that would be better even if they over price.,.,

The only way to curb the insane prices is for in-game options or alternatives to be competitive with the IM store, which at the current time it is not.
It's only when there's something provided by game content, that IM is kept in check. It happens each time we get a new EQ tier, and everyone starts to cap out. People get their sets finished and have nothing else to spend money on [zulie or IM] so they start consuming things like resets and things to change their play-style to keep things fresh. That's where the IM starts to take over.
And the only way to reverse the inflation is to have penalties on large amount transactions. Like Taxes based on %'s of money exchanged that go to the 'system' and are deleted from there. An example would be
5% flat tax rate on vended goods.
5% of 5,000,000,000 is 250,000,000 [250m]
5% of 5,000,000 though is 250,000 [250k] not a large amount.
People have argued that it wouldn't do anything because people would adjust prices UP to compensate. While that may be true, it would only increase the flat amount of taxes being taken, speeding up the deflation process.
In terms of Resets, there should be an in-game method SOMEHOW to do it. I mean, we spend hours upon weeks grinding and gearing. If you make the mistake of using your free reset and discover something, even one thing, is off or wrong, then all of that work is out the window, and you gotta start over. Or shell out cash moneys.
So like I said, there should be atleast ONE method in-game to reset your skills/stats. What are we living in the 8bit era still? Time for an upgrade.

at least it should be a method yes. but should the way that u dun get a item to reset. like if it would be a hard quest to get skill or stat reset...the reward should be the reset itselfs..not an item that u can use later on time.
i dont like any idea where u can go and do the quest 5 times to get 5 resets..that would be to easy. sure we should get a way to reset ingame(after that lvl x from darren) . but it should be not that easy. should cost time and zulie.

What about Cornell, I thought he gave a free reset for low levels. I still got my blue colored skill reset books from back than. I'm not sure if he still gives them. Try?

Cornell used to until they expanded the tutorial quest that takes you to level 50 and Junon Polis.
Now Mayor Darren gives it to you at level 50 or higher.

I do have to agree with the 5% Tax from vending goods.. And I would go as far as putting that on NPC's starting on Eldeon, as players should have a good amount of zulie by then.
