I launched RO yesterday and It started to patch files from 2013.My RO client was completely updated and I was playing it just few hours before this happened.It's very annoying.The update goes on forever with large files and I tried to patch it for 30 mins before I completely gave up.Has this happened to anyone before and is there any solution for this? Any suggestion and solution is appreciated.

Happened to me once and my client patched from 2011-4-4. Since then, i did a back up of my client once in a while. Also have a back up of the patch.inf /piff

I tried solution no.3 and it kind of worked,sort of.My client got fixed but I can't log in now.It always gives failed to connect to server error when I enter my login and password.I read somewhere online that this happens when we messed with out client or something.But It's supposed to be official fix provided by RO in step 3 right? Please help me..

The client might have been improperly patched, try a clean reinstall.

When the patcher downloads a corrupted patch.inf you get that. Sad to say, there is no official method to prevent this patching issue. The patcher client is very sensitive to connection problems, probably Proxy/ISP. Not really a fix but keep a copy of your working game folder, in case this happens again cancel the patching immediately (if from an earlier date) and copy paste the files. Note that, if you allowed the client to complete patching from 2013 and onward then you must reinstall.
