I have already uninstalled my old ragnarok private server.

For some reason, when I enter the Ragnarok Online Classic login menu, it still stores my old username.
Every time I type in my new one and login, it either fails to connect to server or tells me I have the wrong username/pw.

After each login attempt, the username will somehow revert back to my old one, even if I unchecked remember me.

I think my Ragnarok classic client is somehow still being influenced by my old client, and it's messing with what server it connects to.

I've tried looking for clientinfo.xml but I can't seem to find it.

Things I've already tried:
1. Uninstalled my old private server

2. Restarted

3. Unsintalled and reinstalled Ragnarok classic 3 times, in all different folders.

4. Clean my registry with CCleaner.

5. Patched the normal ragnarok before classic and vice versa.

6. Tried the internet explorer/browser test (turns out successful).

Somehow, it's still keeping my old user name despite all this.

Update:
The picture in the login screen changes every time.

Completely delete any left over files/folders from the older server. Uninstalling alone might not be enough.

Manually check regedit for any remaining Gravity/Ragnarok Online folders and keys (please backup regedit if you wish to delete/change something).

Possible entries:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Ragnarok Online

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Gravity
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Ragnarok Online

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Gravity Soft

Hi there was a 3 post limit.

This fixed the issue for ragnarok regular, I can now connect to it normally.

Ragnarok classic however, is still experiencing connectivity issues. Are there some more regedit entries I could remove? What other solutions should I try?

Is it failed to connect to server message?

Edit:
Suggestions:

  • Make sure ClassicRO.exe and clragexe.exe are set to run as an Administrator.

How to run an application as Admin all the time:

Spoiler
  • Scan your system for possible interfering malware.
  • If applicable, make sure Ragnarok executable files are not blacklisted in your third party security application(s).
  • Make sure you are logging on Classic.Loki.

This worked for the duration of the day but now I'm getting "failed to connect to server" again.

At first it was "disconnected from server" then "server still remembers you".

Now it's failed to connect again. Is this a problem on my end or are the servers down?

All servers have been running.

Keep in mind that you can't have simultaneous servers login on the same account. So if you would like to log on Classic, log out Chaos/Thor character first.

For testing purposes on a single account:

  • Close all of active game clients.
  • Launch Renewal client.
  • Log on Thor or Chaos.
  • Load your character in-game, wait a few moments then log out completely.
  • Wait a few moments again, load Classic client and log in.

If that didn't help at all, then it could be an intermittent connection issue between you and iRO servers.
