Hi, I am planning to start playing on iRO. I would like some suggestions on which server should I play in.

 

Another question will be whether playing from NSW, Australia is alright as I have heard massive lag issues from Australian and South East Asian players.

How many active players are at Chaos server?

Also I assume you are from Indonesia, does it lag playing iRO from your place?

Chaos server has the most number of players compared to Thor or Classic.

The lag from SEA is just fine, not too much, except on some rare(?) occassions. ^^

3000++, you can download Leatrix to minimize the lag. but some maps still lagging depend on how many peopels on the maps.

Heya fellow Aussie player, I am also from NSW and mind you RO works like a raging arsehole on my end.

 

 

..............Nah she works fine!!! There is a lag issue but provided you are not using ADSL2 and below, you should be just fine. Mind you I dont have NBN so I have no idea how much faster it would be if you are lucky enough to live in an area that has it, and considering its a Julia Gillard thing, I dont even think its any faster.

 

Also, download leatrix like everyone suggested, I use it to destroy that bit of lag that I have left over, but be warned, you will never heal as fast as someone that lives closer to the server considering how far we live from it.

Used to get about 190~200 ping with ADSL2, now I get about 160~170 ping with the NBN (fibre to premise). This is with a gaming VPN active, mind you. Also, coming from a TAS player.

I have downloaded iRO, now I'm still confused on which server should I start with! 

 

I see there's 3000 people online in Chaos now. Looks like there's plenty of bots going around?

 

Thor on the other hand has 700 people.

Chaos is a matured server, Thor is new specifically created to house migrant fellows from pRO and generally caters for SEA players. All servers have bot problems sadly.

I live in New York and experience 1-2 second lag with every action in both servers. Moving, attacking etc, is it a problem with my location too far from the servers?

Prolly on your net also since 1-3 second lag is normal in SEA region
