I once encountered a guy who PM'ed me about his "school project", and if I could "like" his page he'd appreciate it. Seemed fair at first, he even said he could give me 50m zeny for it so why not, until that donkey PM'ed me the link to that "page" LOL, it went something like hackyour-_-.freedomain.com and he asked me to tell him when I'm on there so he'll tell me what to click hah. I was too lazy that day to report it as the GMs would probably do nothing about it as usual. They're too busy banning AFK Genetics in Orc Dungeon 2.
Still got the scam attempt SS somewhere, here:
and if you don't trust me you can ( ALTHOUGH I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT) go to that site, and you'll probably see a "login with facebook to vote" button or some that will send your FB info to his email (unless he took the site down already)

The GM staff do in fact cast away characters accused of the scam. So, iRO users must get that reported else the scammer will bounce from one victim to another. For the screenshot above I believe it should be preserved for further awareness of the scheme, the name has been edited out due to forums rules however. Thank you Pixelakaroxi for sharing that here.

This has been on the rise for a few months (maybe longer) I have been on and off and have seen this in South Prontera Field NUMEROUS times.

not everything has been redacted on the image.
The character name on the top of the chat window is still clearly visible

Wait a minute! I remember this kind of scams back in last year.
I only get "newbie" messages stating that they need "good" gear to lvl up.
Yet, some of them are 3rd class already.
-maybe this is off-topic, they stay at eden kitchen as well.
