Hi everyone!
I'm usually a euRO/fRO player, but our server has become a mess and the GMs, support and community managers don't say a word, besides weekly maintenance news when they aded a new cash-shop event.
So I'm checking out iRO.
I have written a simple EXP Viewer.
I saw this thread here: https://forums.warpp...-party-program/
Edge cases that we don't explicitly ban for.
(...)
- EXP calculators/monitors : You could calculate in your head if you were pating attention to the battle readout, plus this is a tool that we explicitly want to allow because we think it is useful.
On euRO i wrote a support ticket like 2 weeks ago asking for approval, because there exp viewers were never explicitely allowed, but haven't heard from them yet. They had a contact form for tools.
I wonder if i need to get this program approved for iRO, too, or if i could just release it for you and use it myself here.
I made quick checks to confirm that it runs, thinking it would be okay going by the statement I quoted above.
Here's a snapshot of what it looks (It also comes with a smaller form):
The special thing about this one is that it won't be necessary to update any memory adresses manually in a file for each client update unless the client becomes heavily modified with an update. It dynamically finds the required values.
Though for safety there's a file that can be placed in the same folder to either update the adress finding pattern or use direct memory adresses like other exp viewers do. Just in case it breaks some day and i'm not there to fix it.
Right now the tool has been tested and found working on iRO renewal & euRO renewal without having to change a thing, and iRO classic with a 'memory pattern'-file.
And because of the difference between euRO and iRO alone I'm sure this will work for a good while.
This tool just reads from system memory and does a few fun calculations.
It does not automate any player activites, it does not read, edit or write any network packages.
tl;dr:
Do i need to get my exp viewer approved by iRO staff? If so where/how? Or can it just be released and used?
