I don't know if the old effect will still remain by adding the stun effect, but if that is the case, it would be great.

+1, but it won't stop lag walk, just watch some foreigner's pvp video's on youtube they literally lagwalk out of anything and everything, player's have reported people walking while frozen, stunned, shocked, even while in knocked down form. small band-aid fixes are definitely welcomed though. while on destroyer can the fire grenade get anymore useless? after you get n2 ammunition lv20 burn as a passive. or how about the animation locked grenade throw's? you can cast them in the air but after that you're locked into animation and not fluidly put into the falling position.(have to dash out) or the premature flash bang explosion, tbh it should explode on contact similar to H.E grenade's flight trajectory.

You're right. But I really hope that the lagwalk would happen less often if we implement a stun effect than when a flashbang is thrown at its current state.

Add stun effect on hit so the opponent can't move on the client.

As nice as your idea sounds its not realy a problem solved for the designers. There are many many skills that cause lag walk - cross cut, spear jab sword dance, etz etz .
Every one of those has a unique effect like flinch blind etz etz and that stun would ruin it and made the game pretty simpleton.
