I played this game for about a month years ago and now I'm torn between joining it again or not. The problem is that I'm not hugely fond of MMOs due to the endless grinding combined with the fact that I'm not super social. Is it worth it if I'll probably just hide in my shell?

Honestly this game is like 100% grind. To be honest when you think about every game, it's always grinding anyways.

Tower defense grinding

Mission map grinding

Quest grinding

grinding for gold

grinding for equipment

grinding by not grinding to grind production by afk grinding.

Technically every mmo games have grinding in it, that's how leveling was implemented. You don't level by not doing anything or get stuff by doing nothing.

If your a loner, you'll do fine. If you are social, you'd probably do slightly better since friends usually help you and stuff.

There will be an arcadia update soon so you can look forward to it or play when it does come out.

Should you play the game again? yes.

Can you quit if you don't like the game? yes heaven forbids if I say you're not allowed to stop

Just find out if you'll like it or not. Give it another shot after the arcadia update comes out and see what floats your boat.

As for grinding, it's always going to be grinding in this game. You cannot avoid grinding in this game (or any other mmorpg for that part). Gold, levels and items are all a big grindfest.

The social part is one thing I love about this game. I've tried many online games, and never have i stumbled across a community that is so hospitable and generous as the Dragon Saga community. In every other game i've tried my friendlist usually stays empty until the end levels, but in Dragon saga it's filled to the maximum. You'll be fine on your own, but it's hard to NOT make any friends in Dragon Saga since most players are very helpful and friendly. You don't need to have any social skills in this community, you'll still make alot of friends.

We also got active staff members, both in game and on the forums, livestreams every week and other socialmedia platforms.

Of course you should give it a try. New content is coming within the next months, so it'll be new stuff for everyone. I think it's time to blow the dust off your sword and sharpen it. Time to begin your journey in the world of Dragon Saga.

I also love the costumes in this game and to dress up my characters. (;
