And now we all know why we have so many instances, besides the CEO being Korean, everyone else in the high up positions are Japanese people, and we all know how japanese people love online games that have instance dungeons....

It's not that they love it, it's because of online gaming curfew laws that they had to adjust from worldbosses to instancing

Extreme conditions guide evolution. Since Doddler and Zerozaku have gone, nobody translated KRO content anymore. I must did it myself if I need to know that.

This made me curious. Can you explain further?

So I was referring to korea really but here : In Korea the government set a curfew for online gaming - shutting down gaming cafes at 10pm and limiting young people playing between 10pm - 6am
https://en.wikipedia..._game_addiction
What that means is that the sort of open world bosses that we used to have in RO couldn't be hunted/capped that way - so other games at least, changed to instanced/individual content and RO probably followed suite for the same reason (tbh I don't track kRO stuff for a long time)
And then they did this:
https://www.techinas...big-change-2014
"In February this went a step further as the government essentially capped gaming revenue. Today, an individual in Korea can spend no more than US$300 on online games per month."
Which might explain the huge focus on mobile stuff.

I like the fact that we have more instance content now. Open world bosses are fun, but most are so camped that it's near impossible to hunt them since many are killed within minutes of spawning. At least with instances you get a story and are guaranteed a boss fight (assuming the instance doesn't glitch). Open world bosses/mvps, Spend time searching for it, find the tomb and wait for it to disappear, search some more only to find that it's already dead.
