Knights: Safe Guard or Protection?

Alright, so Safe Guard maxed is 5% higher than Protection maxed, but Safe Guard is solo only.
So I'm trying to decide between the two. Seeing that only knights get mdef buffs as a skill (Right?), is it worth the 5% to get the ally buff over the solo buff?
Do people actually care about mdef buffs?

You need to learn the solo buff before the ally buff, so it totally doesn't matter. Tell your allies to buy Mdef Pots. :rolleyes:

Really? It says I can add points into either one, both of them only have Advanced Defense Training as a prerequisite. =/

Weird, last time I checked the self buff was a prerequisite.

get the selfbuff or none (buffpots are better) the pt buff its useless

The self buff should be a target buff like before. THe party buff is just a crappier version of buff pots/cleric buffs and waste of skill points.

Don't waste points for the party buff. If your allies really want a magic def buff, they can go buy the buff pot. Buff pots are stronger than those buffs anyways.
