I am trying to start on Renewal and when I log in my user interface and text in game are tiny. I would like to give Renewal a go but this is not playable at this state.

I have a pretty high resolution laptop if it matters. There have been several threads about this in the past:

https://forums.warpp...terface-bigger/

http://forums.warppo...-font-problems/

I tried zanku's suggestion in this thread and it made my RO client error to the point where I could not even open it and get to the login screen.

Here are some screenshots of what it looks like currently.

Any assistance would be appreciated. Changing the window resolution does not change the user interface size and it remains the same size even in fullscreen.  :)

Try to toggle [Disable display scaling on high-DPI settings] only.

See this post for details.

Did it for both Ragexe and Ragnarok.exe and it did not fix it. :(

Edit: Side by side, Classic client vs Renewal client

Not sure if this helps but have you tried lowering the resolution of your laptop? Try 1600x900 and then either set your Ragnarok resolution to use the same or 1280x720. Being an old game, the text doesn't get upscaled with higher resolution. And there is no known way of increasing the font size for in-game text either.

I tried changing my laptop's screen resolution and my laptop freaked out saying that was not the optimal screen resolution and my screen looked awful. :/ I'm curious why the classic client works fine, but the renewal one does not?

What happens if you simply change the resolution of the client itself then? Your original screenshots are in 1920 x 1440. What happens if you run the client in 1280x720? Is the text still smaller?

The differences between both clients could be that one is the updated version of the latter.

Changing the client resolution does not affect the user interface. It is still small in 1280x720.

I'm out of ideas. Sorry, I have a low end monitor with an optimal resolution of 1600x900 so I can't give you any suggestions to try besides changing the resolution of the laptop itself and hope it works.

As long as your laptop runs in its native optimal resolution, it seems like the in-game text will be smaller irrespective of what resolution the client is.

I tried running the game at the resolution you suggested but also in full screen mode and it is seemingly fixed! But it only works in full screen mode and my in game cursor is weird this way. It's a temporary fix for sure. Thanks. :)
