The bomb issue also has to do with 0.2 sec being the input limit on this server.

 

What issue? Do you have proof that players weren't bombing just as quick before classic? Many players were using bad bomber builds/gears w/o an optimized stringer. Also AHK wasn't that common back then.

Umm the fact that all the stat calcs were set for 0.33s (iRO) and then 0.2s (other servers) and the fact that iRO had input delay changed to combat lag iirc might have something to do with it.

 

 

People had 190 aspd builds before classic you know. Acid bomb isn't the only skill that is spammed at aspd.... double strafe comes to mind.

just want to throw out there that this event i personally feel is too easy to abuse with its cool down of only 3 hours. Here on classic we have to deal with mostly with already established players so this event will reap high rewards for them. if you have 15 characters to do the quest on (which only takes about 2mins for each mini game.)  in one week a player could farm 63k badges if they do it each day with 15 characters over seven days. i know that quest are not implemented to be abused but if you make it an option it definitely will be.

The point is that gods/mvps have little to no impact on OUTGOING dps with the exception of hibram, thana, ss. (A fist is a fist and it will most likely still kill you without gods) and I guess hammer chems but they're just unnecessarily min-maxed with little advantage over a standard bomber.
 

A lot of people die in god/mvp based woe faster because they think asprikas are good, or that they're invincible with a gtb on, or carry less potions because megs are heavy. It's nothing to do with the obnoxious outgoing damage in the majority of cases.

 

to be noted: a hibram HW is only slightly more effective than a non hibram HW. Too much renewal gear!

I agree with Hoaxmaster and I feel the same way exactly. Either please look into increasing the cooldown time, decreasing the medals gained, or increasing the medal price of the items. With just 2 events, it has been pretty easy to rack up 10k medals per day. How much more now that there are 2 more added.

Not sure about 150 int minstrels (going way back before foods were a thing). But 190aspd is easy to do.

It's like... all the stat calcs we had ever that all worked on 0.33s delay for iro and had options for other servers were all wrong and nobody ever questioned it despite being aware of the difference in skill dps on other servers.

 

..... there's no way it was only 0.2 ... the people working on and using those calcs would have noticed. Back then people weren't lazy and tested and scienced the hell out of everything.

1 week is a long wait Camp! 1 full account with just 12 hrs of questing 2 minigames gave 5400 medals! As Hoaxmaster and I mentioned, 10k per day / 63k per week is ezpz! So you're kind of like giving out minimum 50 orc boots or 20 VoH everyday should someone would farm that quest religiously.

Please think about it!

My thoughts are account binding all rewards and medals. Character binding the boots boxes so that they need to be opened...

 

I wanted this event to be achievable by someone with limited play time for their personal characters.

increase the orc boot reward price and put in something bound for limited players?

Why not just increase cooldown or increase the medal price? Wont that be the most efficient solution? That way you are kind of maintaining the items' status quo without messing them up and also making sure that the quest will cater everyone in a non-exploitable manner.
