Hello my name is Donna and I am new to Ragnarok and I like it so far... anyways I have made an Assassin and need help in figuring out the best equipment for her. I am going critical with her.

I don't pvp or woe. I don't have real cash to buy fancy items so everything I need will have to be stuff I can get in game which I know I will have to work hard for which I don't care about that lol

I don't understand the cards system so any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you in advanced.

Card system is wherein you use cards which gives certain effect to your slotted weapons, notice those [1]. [2] . [3] [4] numbers by the end of your gears, those state the number of cards you can insert in it.

 

Example is when you use Pupa Card, which gives 700hp to you if compounded, and put it in a slotted armor like Cotton Shirt[1]

Since you're new, you may want to focus on early/starter gear before going for "end game" stuff. Many recommendations of +9 gear will be unattainable for now.

 

The other threads have a lot of good info that is worth checking, as Lorenz linked. You may want to browse them before deciding on anything.

 

It is hard to answer "please tell me everything" without inadvertently writing an entire guide, so if you have specific questions that would help people give advice more effectively.

 

For now though, if you are going crit to level to 99, then a Jur with 3 soldier skeleton cards or a crimson katar of the appropriate element (or neutral for an all purpose one) may be your best option. The crimson katar will definitely out damage the Jur, and you'll only miss 1 card slot, so I'd suggest that. They are cheap to buy, or you can farm one from Injustices -- which are also decent xp for levels 80+.

Crimson Katar will be your best friend here, hunt them off the Injustice or Headless Mule while also doing Brasilis Bounty Board also Eden gears (which are obtainable from Eden Group quests) are very good for starter, you can also look for some cheap stuffs, like the ones with 200-300k zeny (Vidar's Boots, Vali's Manteau, Morrigane's Helm/Belt/Pendant, cat hand glove etc) on the market. Since you're new, your goal now is to use cheap but usefull stuffs, just read the description and choose which ones suit you best, you will learn in time.
