Recently I capped my Geneticist and I was hoping I could do Bakonawa Dungeon and solo it. I have Sera and I saw a video of someone soloing the instance using Dieter.

 

Here's my question though: Everywhere it's listed that you need Blood Sucker for the totems after defeating the first part of Bakonawa. Do I need to max out the skill (5) or does (1) do the trick?

 

Anyone wiser than me, please help

Why not just cast Demonic fire and wait for it to burn it down? Or use lava slide on it if you have a dieter.

Lol you have sera, bako should be like a cake walk, I have a 172 Gene and i do it every week without any homun(my homun is 100 lvl, RIP) and like doom square said just drop demonic fire and wait for it to timeout before placing another on those totems. Bako on gene is supa fast takes like 5-6mins.

Im using blood sucker @level 3, because 1 genetic skill i need requires it @level 3. You can use it @level 1 with a slight lower duration but you can always recast it to refresh the duration. You can easily take down those gongs with sera and her legion. Even sera alone atks fast enough.

summon flora+ CD in mouth+ AA wtih banaspaty carded weapon. Cheap , fast , easy.

Blood sucker used to be able to bypass plant def. Level 1 would instantly kill the gongs. Now it doesn't to that anymore in iRO. Need to rely on stacking auto cast gears w/ summoned plants or use burning effect as others have suggested.
