As much of the WoE community knows through the community Scuttlebutt, there was an irregular castle lost last Sunday for Valf 4. Our normal policy is try to restore the situation as quickly as possible, to try and undo unfair damage. In this case before such restoration could be performed ill-mannered activity was occurring on both sides of the castle situation. Initially it seemed unfair to do a restore when ill-mannered activity was also present.
We held off doing a final decision about a possible restoration until we could weigh the pros and cons of restoring or not restoring. The ill-mannered activity was punished appropriate via game account suspensions; the castle was decided to be a separate issue and to follow our normal policy to try and restore what is right.
So around 6pm PST 8/19 we restored the castle to the holders of it prior to the exploit caused break. No castle treasure was restored for the lost five days due to the ill-mannered activity engaged in by the leadership.
For the future we will be reviewing our internal policies on irregular server happenings in regards to WoE, so we can more quickly and efficiently make a decision on such cases.
