I'm Not the one with the issue but a few of my friends are having this problem, and while support is running them through the ropes i already had them do, I've come to the forums to see if we all can't find a solution to the problem, I'll start off with the mouse stops responding after about minute or so of game play, They are running windows 10, Nothing major on the PC has changed , the PCs are very capable of running RO and more, they state this has happened after an RO update, and not a windows update

 

What has Been done so far!

• Alt+Tab, But problem reapers after a minute or so
• Plugging the mouse into another USB port
• Using a different mouse completely
• Uninstalling Ro, Reinstalling
• Deleting a couple DLL files ( Cant Remember the names)
• Running in full screen
• Locking the mouse to screen
• Making sure ROs resolution is not above display resolution
• Running as Admin
• Tried Running with Compatibility for , windows XP and 7 - and as admin
• Running in low graphics quality
• Bios Update, Driver Updates, Chip set Updates, nothing worked 
• Updating windows 
• Followed The Support topic, and a couple other furom post, still no resault

so asides from downgrading to windows 7 idk what else they can do and i'm stumped, i'f anyone has some input that would be great! kinda sucks not being online with friends

well the support team told my one friend there is nothing they can do for him(which is sad consider he bought the 3 month VIP and only got to use 1 month of it while the rest is buring away), and my other friends are still being put through the above ropes, so it doesn't seem like there is a solution nor is there going to be one. No one on the forums knows either. So me and 2 of my other friends decided its time to leave RO with its declining state, and move on to other games that we can enjoy together. Ill Be handing out my gear on my Guillotine Cross named "Your Name Here" at south pront feel free to come deal me over the next 2 hrs for some free stuff, First few ppl well get their hands on some MVP cards, the rest is mostly +9 to +14 gear( that 14 was a major pain in the arse spent over $600 in real cash to get it there i almost quick the game after that one >.>)

Hello Ares420.

 

When you say the mouse stops responding, can you perform other things in game during that state? Such as using skills, chatting, using consumables.

 

It sounds like the known mouse problem with RO, sadly the only solution right now is to press alt-tab twice. From my experience, it occurs if you tab between different windows and applications. Also possibly if something pops up in screen it could trigger the issue. Can you make sure nothing on the computer flagging notification windows or pop ups of any sort?

 

Please try one more time with different Window mode and mouse settings [mouse exclusive] both options are found in Setup.exe. AFAIK, there were no changes made to how RO interacts with the mouse in latest updates.

Yes I tried mouse exclusive, and we did try all sizes of windows, full screen an non, I even went as far as to disable User Account Control( UAC, Not Recommended!) Also nothing is flagging the mouse or anything like that, got back from my friend a little bit ago we tried doing a restore point back about 3 months ago and we reinstalled windows 10. i told him the only real thing he can do at this point is pirate a copy of windows 7, cause idk what else is causing it, 

 

Not to worried at this point though my stuff is gone, starting over at this point is pure insanity took years to save up for the stuff i had haha, 

Hope they do find a solution to this though, i know it can bug the hell out of some people.

I have this problem now, it only occured after downloading a more recent version of the game, so if someone has had the same install of the game for a while then maybe theirs won't do it. Literally only happened ever since I did that ~1 month ago. And I've had windows 10 since it came out.

If you play on Renewal servers see if deleting dinput.dll fixes the issue. If you play on Classic however, you might need that file so keep a copy of it just in case.

Edit: The file is located in Ragnarok online folder.

hmm we havent tried installing off and old installer we will try that and let you know how it goes, yes we have tried remover the .dll file

I have the same problem. I missed playing and installed this game once again. Whenever I'm in game, I always need to alt tab twice before I can even click anywhere. All the shortcut keys are functioning except for the mouse left and right click ( have to tab twice to click ). Tried all the solution listed and it still doesn't work. Help please. I really wanna play this game again.

Test the following out please:

Close the active clients, open Setup.exe as an admin, unselect Mouse Exclusive, choose Ok. Run the game and test if the mouse still locks up or not.

well I had some issues with that thing... each case = different problem

I have a Vaio. So.. I have a little tab in my windows and It blocked my mouse.

You can check it.. if you have some kind of window. Also you can try windowed ragnarok.
Theres an extension that made my pc runs RO as i want. My pc doesn't have properly size windows options and all was horrible.
