Can I click to use it and then have it going in the background while I use other songs and attacks? Does it proc cards that are in weapons, and if so, is it considered a physical attack?

magic strings-> 1second later->unchained->wait unchained get of light-> switch gear and u have a magic strings for u while u can kill or use no delay  Unbarring Octave..

Why do u need IT?
Also u can use SR or even arrow shower....

Stringer is not affected by its own strings unless linked. Cant spam frost joke

Performers are not affected by their own songs unless they are linked, period.

Responding to the first question, No, the skill damage formula doesnt include any cards or weapon attack or attack boost from stats, it has their own values and it modified by the lvl of the Skill

Yes you will be able to move and use other skills but you wont get any effects on the songs that you played unless you are linked. 

Unchained Serenade also is a very usefull skill for mobing in the TIs vs Passive mob or just to get mob around you in order to kill them with SR or your party to kill

its works in woe but i remind you, this is a bug and any bug abuse in woe is reportable so be cautious if you do it
