Hello guys,

I found little information about mental strenght build!

Just up a Champion to 99/70, put a shield with alice and some Elemental Brynhild and it can tank effectively almost every MVP?

Or isn't that so simple? I will need even more level and more expensive equipments?

The idea is make him duo with an aspd ranger 175/60.

Thaanks!

what is Elemental Brynhild?

My bad... I really thought that it had an slot!

And since the Wiki recommended it, i didn't realise it was an "god" item.... so forget about it!

Haha

Edit:

After some new researches, i came to this (aparently) crucial equipments:

--Elemental Armors
--Strong Shield [Alice].
--Temporal ?? with Muscle Fool Enchant.
--Sheep Hat. (It can still be obtainable?)

This equipments should be enough?

-Elemental Armors : (All Unfrozen - Marc Card) Lucious, Aebecee and Saphien

Valk Armors (indestructable) with element cards (Pasana, Swordfish, Dokebi, Bathory)

Orlean's Robes with element cards (to recast MS w/o interruption)

-Garments: Nid Shadow Garb is nice in my opinion, card accordingly.

-Shield: Valkyria Shield of Royal Guard (Alice card)

Round Buckler/Stone Buckler/Bradium Shield (with Racial cards)

-Boots: Temporal VIT w/Muscle Fool

-Headgear: Sheep Hat (Reflecting and keeping mobs on you) Is in the Kafra Shop

Witch Pumpkin Hat+ Alarm Mask (cheap recovery with pumpkins)

MS is already UN-interrupted once the cast starts. so no need for a phen effect.

Please remember to have something to reflect dmg back to maintain aggro.

Also remember that some mvps breaks stuff/divest. You'll be needing FCP for them

Still, Not being interrupted while casting helps in case you want to add more DPS with skills. And Orlean's Gowns are quite versatile if you wanna have more characters beside the Sura, so look it like an investment.

With MS on you could be naked and as long as you aren't autistic at potting you can tank 90% of MVPs.

LOL, there is some truth to that. Tanking is actually pretty complex and involving; it's a subtle art (most people in TIs don't even understand not to just barrel on forward, let alone how to control aggro). Or like an RK who won't pull mobs onto you. XD

I think autistic people would be great at potting.

Also remember that a sneaky MVPValk dispels you as soon as she sees you so get someone else to take that dispel for you before you tank her.

In my experience (I am still noob btw), better go for sura first, and get that level as high as possible. In my case, there are many many reason of why, HP pool, etc etc. Especially the stun immunity (some MVPs who stunned, I believe it depends on your level "not your VIT"). I got vit of 120 still got stunned everytime I tanked in BIO instance MVP and my Sura is at 145++ at the moments. I can assure you I put efforts on the equipments wise (no god or mvps tho).

I did pop some BBs when I was still a champ 99/70, I would say that was my worst decisions xD yes, you can tank some of the mvps, but if you mean the low tier one, you don't even need champ/sura to do the job right? :) For the most of the high tier mvps, I am having a hard time even with low level sura :)

Level wise, higher level would definitely help to get the job done effectively.

^^you forgot monster level vs player level difference status effects game mechanic which ignore status resistance when the monsters above your level.

All Bio MVP is level 160 based on database which is beyond your sura level.

elemental bryn = RSX card on elemental armor. you don't need the dmg boost while tanking anyway.

B> RSX card. need a water one

You can diminish the need of a Brynhild or RCX card if you position yourself near a wall.

Also, you have to do your homework and know the Race, Element of most powerful attack and if the MVP in question Dispells, EQ's or Knockbacks so you make your strategy accordingly.

(What? You thought tanking was all about being all macho showing up your super high VIT and your pockets full of HP restorative items?!)
