-Must be ok with being recorded/streamed.
-Time limit per matches (TBD). Team with the most players alive at the end wins, if due to being timed out. If there is a tie then the round is redone.
-Rounds in the matches are fought back to back. Teams have up to 120 seconds between rounds, if a team takes 121 seconds to be ready they will automatically lose that round. No exceptions

I didn't even notice that they've already added prizes.  Well, this prize isn't appealing compared to previous 5 vs 5 tournament. The winners should be given a headgear they can proudly wear as a result of their success as a player in this game.  Entice players with unique prizes so more participants will join.  USRC/RWC is already gone, and this is what we have left.  As a very competitive player, please give these tournaments some well-deserved acknowledgment for the sake of all the upcoming events. The last thing I want to see is a declining interest in these tournaments as a result of the GM's failure to give it the recognition it deserves.

Oh I removed my post earlier because the texts you use are in read that only post the registration ... well

Cant find the feedback thread, so ... since this tournament will be tomorrow and only 3 teams have registered.

Maybe you want to make the 1st prize very big, something like, Heart Ribbon Hairband or some rare head gears. I think the prizes are too small/insignificant to give people incentives.

Also the time is very bad ... I finish my work at 7 pm on Friday EDT (or 4 pm server time PDT). Some other people probably are still working at 4 pm if they live in PDT lol

I also think the cycle is too short man. The last tournament is just a month ago xD

I'll try to cover all of your points. Discussion thread was taken down after feedback about limitations, so posting here is fine.

I am disappointed with prizes. Prizes are out of my hands. I agree with you and I submit my suggestions to oda/camp but ultimately it is their decision. I don't have enough wealth on chaos to supply prizes out of poket without ruining my gameplay experience. I think we should be on par with art events, if not drastically better due to the sheer zeny cost to participate in a competitive nature.

There was a decent amount of push for friday nights instead of Sunday, so we figured we'd give it a shot. As of right now it appears to me that the Friday's will work better for thors, but probably not for chaos. The time to hold them (regardless of day) can't really be changed due to Xellie time zone and my availability. More then likely we will keep thors for Friday's and chaos for Sunday's.

The cycle is short, it's a monthly format that alternates. For those that want to do 5v5 it is once every 2 months and the other ones will all be unique (sura vs sura, 1v1 any class, maybe something with TE characters ect).

We will be taking a couple months off (October and November) due to my house selling, moving into a new condo, and finishing up grad school all at once. We will do the one in thors during October, but nothing after that for a couple months. In December we will end the year with a final tournament.

I don't want to say that prizes are the only reason why me and my team participate, but it's definitely a big factor.  It's nice to be competitive and go up against the top teams on the server, but after a while, it gets tough practicing and spending tons of zeny on gears, etc, just to be given low quality prizes.  And no, I'm not saying this to you, Undying!  I know that they're out of your hands.  Mostly just expressing my opinions so that hopefully the GMs can keep it in mind for future events.

It's draining participating in these things, and eventually, people will stop participating if they don't feel like there's a chance at receiving something comparable to the amount of time and resources that it takes to participate at a competitive level.  The time, I'm certain, has something to do with it (I'm EST and hell...I have to take off early myself), but I imagine that the lack of participation is mostly related to the prizes.  I'm struggling to keep my own team members motivated after we spent the week gearing, preparing, and all.  There's just no incentive, really.

Community hosted events are the best thing to happen to the game in a long time.  The GM team rarely held anything, probably due to their availability, so these things absolutely, 100%, need to continue on forever.  Otherwise, we'll have nothing from the GMs and nothing from the community.

The prizes definitely need to be reconsidered.  It's too late for tomorrow since there won't be enough time for people to respond and form a team that's prepared, but since we have a few months off from these tournaments, hopefully we can all use that time to convince the GMs otherwise.

Just get Campitor to have the tournaments hosted on the test server and set up NPCs to sell supplies. It's really dumb in the first place that people have to use their own supplies. It also limits the gear people have access to and makes everything completely fair. You would probably have way more people entering too if they could just jump on a premade character.

Asked about that idea a bit ago, because it would literally be perfect. Hopefully it's possible in the future for so many reasons. Supplies like you mentioned and it would be the most fair environment possible. It would also give us full control over literally everything, which makes life easier for everyone.

that would be absolutely perfect. I feel like the staff kinda underestimate the reach of these events too. I see everything in real time on my control panel and when i see an RO stream hitting over 100 viewers, I don't doubt that with a little engagement RO can still be good.

Using a test server wouldn't only make supplies fair, it would also eliminate worries about exploits from banned items.  So there's that.

Regarding prizes tho, what if there was a list of prizes that points were earned toward with the option to buy out at any time? Per player and per guild. I think that would incentivize participation over a time period. (and this is on top of #braggingrights hats)

if campitor would provide a list of prizes that are available for events, it would be easier to communicate with people for participation. That's my thoughts.
