Ahoy there folks! We're having a short week this week, with us out of the office for Korean Thanksgiving on Thursday and Friday. As such we are doing the maintenance starting at 10am. Before we set sail for the weekend, we'll be docking a 'Yacht Rock' insfused 1 1/2 hour of Q&A and bot hunting. During this stream I'll be giving out a few 5 day VIP codes as well so make sure to tune in!
In case you missed last week's show it went like this.
I think I've played and talked about some of these before, but it's my current favorite genre of music. The genre was named by a group of Michagonians who moved to Los Angeles and created a comedy history music show online called Yacht Rock. A little rock, and little jazz, and a lot smooth music. A product of a laid back West Coast scene, the genre was made up of talented session musicians and songwriters. Doobie Brothers, Kenny Loggins, Michael McDonald, Christopher, Cross, Toto, Steely Dan are some of the acts that created and popularized the genre in the 70s-80s.
