Happy Monday Ragnarok Online!

I am out of the office today as I am helping prepare a birthday bash for a family (both husband and wife share a birthday!)

For a rough outline of the week.

Renewal:

Refine Event Rates start with maintenance on Thursday (Please do NOT discuss the event in this thread)

Mad Bunny Special Exchange comes into the game (More details on that to come)

Classic:

More details on the first treasure caches will be posted tomorrow. I need to make presentable charts.

New Classic Headgear Quests will be coming in.

Currently we are working on finalizing the event plan for our October Halloween event.

I discovered this clip over the weekend and now really want to see this movie.

Other fun youtube clips from shows/movies I watched over the weekend:

What did you watch?

As of last wednesday we were still waiting on their official translation. Oda will bug our contact tonight as we should have received it by now. They may have sent it over the weekend but I can't check that at the moment.

A Million Ways to Die in the West sounded pretty terrible if the reviews had anything to say about it.

This weekend I watched

The Last Action Hero

This...was not great. If you're looking for the best (unintentional) satire of over the top 80s movies see Tango and Cash instead.

Caddyshack

This is the first time I've seen this 80s classic. It was nice to see a really charming Chevy Chase performance. 80s comedy was definitely different, sort of slower paced than more modern stuff. Kind of understated at parts but with way wackier interruptions.

Playing some Yakuza 3

And Dead Rising 2

Listened to a lot of podcasts while walking as well as Steely Dan

Sounds like a busy weekend :P

By the way, might we be able to get sakray back up until next maintenance for some experimental testing for the upgrade event? I'd like to be able to test a few things if possible :)

Million Ways is a Seth Mcfarline flick, expect the kind of humor from Family Guy, American Dad, etc.

*Hums the song Good Morning Starshine*

Besides listening to On our own - Bobby Brown and Flip City - Glenn Frey on repeat, watched a huge block of A&E channel after switching from Investigation Discovery Channel.

Its started to heat up again. Over 97F(36C) right now. We were getting a little worried last week because something like flavorless non carbonated coca cola was falling from the sky. But my wife assured me that it was NOT "Crystal Pepsi" so us Californians are mystified at what it was.

"Why did you leave this word untranslated?"

"Oh, I felt that it had deeper meaning than any English word. It's okay though, I put a T/L note there explaining the meaning."

"The note is a massive block of text in tiny font. Why not just pick a word that's a rough equivalent. People will get the idea."

"Did you not hear what I just said? Deeper. Meaning."

I literally get asked 3~4 times a week to help someone be able to log on to Classic to the point that I had to disable my PM box because I don't see why a player should be responsible for tech-supporting people through approximately 160 different issues with the client (and being asked if I can get someone to look at tickets or being asked how to send them blablabla). And it's not as if the issues aren't known, because there's solutions for most of them up in the tech support section. (which isn't exactly easy to navigate through and find the issue.)

People can't even play the server unless they have a friend who plays it too.

The way I saw it, campitor posted some of the things they're planning on doing on classic, so I added a suggestion. Asking the correct person to look into making the game something that people can play isn't exactly complaining.

Just because you're happy to watch a server die off because the patcher and setup.exe are the hardest boss doesn't mean everyone wants to come here and discuss movies. If I wanted to discuss those on the RO forum in particular, I'd use offtopic or actually go to another forum for that purpose.
