i am a bayeri user, vanilmirth based. it is good for aesthetic (everybody loves unicorn). utility wise, the safety wall is quite handy and troublesome at the same time.
plus, leveling is hard. compared to sera and dieter, bayeri is underwhelming.

how to get bayeri: same method to get other mutated homuns

Reason to get a Bayeri, its cute. Pretty much the same Eleanor and Eira :3

Mutating a Homunculus

To mutate a Homunculus into a Homunculus S, meet the following requirements:

  • Owner must be a Geneticist.
  • Homunculus must be evolved into their 2nd form.
  • Homunculus must be at least Level 99.

leveling homuns are hard, and loyaling it take a lot of time

you sure gonna evolve it to not-the-best-available-homuns?

If only they make it so that the skill casting of homunculus S are inherently uninterruptible, the playing field for all homun Ss will somehow, just somehow, be leveled (BTW does Eleanor have an interruptible cast time? xD).

Unless I am lagging every single time shes using her skills, I have never once seen her cast a skill, all look very instant to me.

I see. So the suggestion then will only be beneficial to Bayeri and Eira who give me the impression that they're sitting ducks without being able to cast their offensive AoEs and supportive buffs due to cast interruptions.

Eira's AoE is not interruptible since it's ground-targeted, but all homuns have at least one skill that's interruptible.

What is a good homunculus to turn them to a bayeri? lif is good to make it a paladin's role, the blob thing makes it shoot like rainbolts out of its horn, so as the bird also make it the fastest unicorn ever.

Vanilmirth is the best all-around homunculus: it can tank (tho not as much as an Amistr), can kill fast with it's bolts, a perfect base for the magic-type bayeri if you ask me. Lif is just there for cutesy--in other words, useless--while Filir, tho cute and deadly, has the lowest tanking capability.

Lif is a good base for the catgirl (increase in SP)

Filir is deadly as base for Dieter

For the Bayeri thing, if you are just planning to farm low ti with that is fine. But if you are giving your main gene a Bayeri, you will regret it. Because it not just not op but absolutely useless.

Making a filir or vanil base is only good for ease of leveling. Amistr is the only one that really gives you a benefit after it turns Homun S via Bulwark and the convenience of Castling.

Unless you want to be a brewer, then vanil is the way to go.

no homun able to take down an MVP. for endgame uses, all homuns are used for support.
if you think that a homun is your bodyguard who replaces your ability to kill especially high leveled monsters, then you might play the wrong game.

nope, you can choose it.

but again, no matter what homun S you choose, none of them is strong enough to take down MVPs. again, people raise homun S to get their support skills to help the geneticist handle MVPs.

people take sera for its pain killer

people take dieter for its ash and ATK buff

people take bayeri for its safety wall

people take eira for its overboost

people take eleanor for extra DPS

none of them take homun S coz of its sheer atk power to take down MVP. compared to the geneticist, the homun's DPS to an MVP is just a 1/100, which means a gene can do damage 100x better than the homun doing damage.

there's a term called as efficiency, and DPS which is Damage Per Second.

Sure, they can kill. even a novice can kill MVPs. But for how long? how much supplies used? gears used? strategy used, etc etc etc

are you planning to slay GTB and a novice-tier MVPs all your life?

i saw some videos of homuns killing MVPs, with the killing speed of first or 2nd class job. that is beyond pathetic, if you aspire to be one of them, feel free to do that. no one will stop you or such.

I have a Geneticist who's 150. His homunculus is a Bayeri. I can't remember it ever cast a supportive skill :)

I don't know how I got it. I just remember hatching a cute blue bird before... that turned into a big blue bird.

Then when the homunculus S was released it turned into a beautiful unicorn :)

It's pretty much a display for me... like a pet :)
