We just did some testing with these 2 great bows (+15 2 ak Crimson & +14 AK Elven) using the eggs of the Criatura Academy with my guild mate Mad Moxxy.

Results are:

With Eddga Proc + HE / LD Without No Limits

Elven Bow = 11k / 9k

Crimson = 9k / 7k

With Eddga Proc + He / LD + No Limits

Elven bow = 33k / 29k

Crimson bow = 42k / 37k

Gears:

+12 eddga

+7 Temp Luk HE/AD4 / +9 Temp Luk LD/AD4

Petal Faw fatal 10

Bako tats

PoM g. scaraba

+4 WWs Crit 5 Sharp1

Pegasus Ear wing

Question: so for rangers HE is the best enchant when comes to Temp boots? and why elven is much stronger than crimson with normal crit? while Crimson seems to be stronger with no limits? we are just confuse on the results.

No Limits stacks additively with the Elven Bow's 50% ranged damage bonus.

When No Limit isn't active, the Elven Bow gets regular damage + (regular damage x 50%) while Crimson Bow just gets regular damage.

When No Limit is active, the Elven Bow gets regular damage + (regular damage x 300%) while the Crimson bow gets regular damage + (regular damge x 250%).

Crimson has much more base attack to take advantage of the huge No Limit bonus.

can i ask here??

what's the better enchant for dmg for a crit warger??

since HE boosts dmg by around 5k more per hit (from his tests) and warg also increases its dmg, but LD makes warg hit 100% of the time (on at least 100 luk).

would HE be better w/ more dmg on both crit and warg per hit or the lower boost of LD but the 100% warg be better??

or its situational?? and there's no way one is better than the other??

IMO, i prefer LD since it doesnt have cons unlike HE. HE will drain your HP/SP.

And I think 100% warg strike due to LD have more DPS compared to HE proc(?). -Needs testing

I think LD has more DPS than HE. but HE does increase warg damage by 5k (with my current build).

SO I ran a similar test, and I'll be honest I'm bit disappointed with my Crimson Bow. My results are very different:

Vs Fire Egg, with Eddga Proc  + No Limit + Hawkeye + Mild Wind--Elven bow was doing about 48k crits, Crimson was doing 47k crits.

Weapons:

+14 Elven Bow has a BM card (yeah yeah)

+15 Crimson is uncarded currently. Seemed like a fair comparison until I decide to card the Crimson.

Gear:

+13 Eddga

Robo Eye

Pirate Dagger

+9 WWS

+6 Temp Luk Boots (AD/HE)

+9 Petal FAW  (aspd1, Fatal3, Fatal3)

Bako Tat

Medal of Honor

So question time: Why such a difference in results? Our gear is relatively similar. Would 2 AK cards really make much difference? Are eggs even Boss Protocol? Maybe adding Mild Wind to the mix evened it up somehow?

Vs Fire Egg, with Eddga Proc  + No Limit + Hawkeye + Mild Wind--Elven bow was doing about 48k crits, Crimson was doing 47k crits.

well yeah, what makes crimson better than elven in terms of damage is the slots it has so you will likely get a lower damage using crimson if you leave it uncarded.

I tested severe rainstorm on my Maestro using HE / EA, and I found +13 Elven bow does a LOT higher damage than +15 Crimson bow, can someone explain why?

are they carded?? crimson has 2 slots. elven 1 slot.

are you also using elven arrow?? crimson can use different arrows while elven needs elven and converters or mild wind.

if you only test clean equips it would be not a real test since crimson makes use of 2 slots

and for SR, bow of storms would be the best?? removing the cast delay grants higher dps.

ohh, and i already tested a +9 AS Elven Bow vs a +12 2AS Crimson Bow using SR. Elven Bow wins by a lot higher damage too.

Crimson Bow tops damage at +15. Anything lower it can fall behind.
