Nearly 50% of Korean population is actually non-religious. Around 20% is Buddhism and 15% for each of the western religion(Catholic and Christianity.) Its typical stereotype that Korea is mainly Christianity but in reality, is not.

So beastiality is A-okay but not same sex marriage by two people that are of the same species?
I guess....?

You are right, I guess I just got this impression because in the bay area every Korean I know goes to church and they pretty much told me all Koreans are Christians.

I think in the context of RO, it's not "Beastiality" but mere interracial marriage. Dorams are a race of "regular" citizens of Rune Midgarts (or whatever you call the RO planet) as much as Normans and Elves ("secret citizens") are.... Would it be much of an issue if Norman's inter-marry with Elves?

Welp, who knows if the RO world has its own version of Christianity which makes same-sex marriage taboo? I don't think interracial marriage has the same moral issues as same-sex marriage so the two cannot be compared but only contrasted.People brought up Christianity to defend the lack of same sex marriage, a religion that doesn't even exist in the world of RO. If we go by the in-game world, there's no reason to not have same sex marriage if there's interracial marriage since the creator (Odin) doesn't give a crap. Heck, there are transsexual characters in the RO universe and no one bats an eye.

The patcher should be getting updated every week the a link to the latest patch notes thread. I agree that we should do better with the notes and have updated them with the basic event details. Going forward the patch notes will link to preview posts such as: https://forums.warpp...ming-to-sakray/
So I can marry a cat, but I can't marry a fellow (get it? Fellow, as in the same, but also as in 'male')?!
Edit: Woops. Guess I'm late to the party. Didn't see Page 2.

For some people, cross racial marriage is srs biz.
Rule 34...
They are for interspecies marriages, but not species of the same gender, interesting interesting.

All Priest/Crusader branches are Catholic-themed, nonetheless. A lot of Priest/HP/AB Skills have their skill names based in ancient Catholic hymns and prayers, or key words from the bible (like Ruwach and Pneuma, which basically mean the same thing), so, even though Christianity is not really a thing in Ragnarok, the Christian influence in the game is enormous. But the reason for this kind of denial has little to nothing to do with religion, as Char just pointed out.
It's mainly because Korea doesn't allow same sex marriage. Some Korean games in NA have same sex marriage but they have their own development in region.

So why make an MMORPG if you're only planning to cater to your own country?
Because it was made in Korea. They first had to pass Korean Govt. regulation. Also, MMORPG is just genre. There are a lot of MMORPG out there that does not cater to ported country.
Another fun fact is that back in 2000, there was really famous celebrity who were loved by a lot of Korean. One day, he decided to come out. After that, he got hammered down by media as "homo" and heavily discriminated. It took him almost 12 years to get back into TV industry. Thats how public view homosexual in Korea. It's gotten better, but its still hard concept to get through in Korea.
That being said, if iRO have manpower to make the change, it should be us doing the change. Korean dev team won't be able to make such change.

Just sayin' if Blizzard is willing to bend over backwards to localize each version of WoW to each particular region's preference, I don't see why kRO would refuse to do the same for iRO unless they want to force their views on iRO while still saying we should be localized to our own community.
Blizzard is run by Activision. Tis a case of Apples and Oranges here Zero.

Only if they have $$$ to care about. Also, a lot of homosexual contents are being regulated by Govt in Korea. It would be harder for them to produce such thing. Hence why those contents are only hovering through limited market in there. But who knows, unlike the note, they might just put it out. Its too early to prejudge when there wasn't actual update.

I am confused about the Odin part then myself. During the acolyte to Priest stages we serve under God, at this point I had thought this would be the Christian God for the most part, as Odin is always referred directly to by name instead being called 'God', therefore I thought its just that from the transitions to Arch Bishop, players effectively abandoned the Christian Religion which in this game, provided no power whatsoever and embraced the Norse Mysticism Religion with Odin as the patron of worship instead.
Glad to know I have been wrong all along.
