Just letting us GC using enthusiests know the Nightmare Clocktower and Pyramid Def/Mdef ingoring cards work with GC, combinations become wide at this point. Happy GC'ing folks.

 

Once again some simple rules to remember:

 

Although both STR and INT increase GC, INT seems to weigh more heavily on the damage of the two, but this is not to say getting STR is bad. Considering skills like Provoke and Earth Drive are in essense, DEF bypass granting skills which also effect GC damage for its ATK portion. Nothing seems to trump the Imp Spear+Shield combo still for GC damage, I have tried it on Demon/shadow and Undead/Undead and Demon/Undead monsters weak to Holy to test it out, regardless which of the Def/Mdef ignoring combo card sets I chose, the damage from an Imp Spear+ Shield combo still outrivals anything else that you can slap the ignore combo's on, even FQL with both Def/Mdef ignore combo sets cannot outdamage Imp Spear + Shield combo, unless you telling me only one card is effected at any one time and having both cards means only the last inserted card takes effect. Then I must say fair enough to it.

If anyone has the zeny an resources and disapproves of my theory let us discuss this out so we can see how you came to it, what I may have done wrong to get my results, I am very open for critiques considering I love GC and hoping everyone posting here has the same passion as I do and would love to find ways that will help maximise its otherwise low potential in the current Ragnarok Online context.

the ATK and MATK portions of the damage have the same weight. STR increase will depend mostly on your weapon base atk. while int will always give 1.5 matk per 1 point. RWC knife+ring+pendant is pretty good for it :v

My Testing was on Bradium Golems using a +0 FQL with Big Ben and Big Bell card in, cards slotted  in that order as well.

 

I tested this using my RG with only 90 STR and 60 INT  and 120 LUK base, + whatever the job 60 bonus is. It also has max Sword Mastery and mas Spear Mastery for the added fairness without being mounted. no shield spell was used to increase damage. No extra def/mdef ignoring powers were used (Earth Drive, Provoke, Crown Deciet etc.) Only equiped weapons and shields.

 

GC with FQL and cards without equiping Neo Punk shield:

 

2730~2964

 

so it fluctuates between these two numbers for the 3 hits I did.

 

Using the Neo Punk shield alongside the FQL:

 

3010~3526

 

fluctuates between these two numbers for the 3 hits I did.

 

Using +0 Imp Spear shield combo with:

 

a respectable 3821~4010

 

Using Imp Spear shield combo with Big Ben Neo Punk:

 

a respectable 4000~4203

 

Using Imp Spear shield combo with Big Bell Neo Punk:

 

a respectable 4321~4502

 

My findings. If anyone sees difference in findings let me know.

I am not too sure myself Ashuckel my dear. I have bought alot of stat resets between increments of STR and INT and have noted that more INT weighs higher for damage than the same amount of strength using similar weapons and having the same flat matk/atk values as similar as I can possibly make it.

If you can still test out other ways to show my incorrectness please do tell me, so far I can only judge the notes section on GC in iROwiki about the STR/INT weighing to be correct for the moment. If others can also help out with this that would also be good.

I recall you (or maybe Silviana) said that MAtk/INT part deals more damage to demon/undead, while the Atk part is better to dealing with other monster.

So, would it deal better damage if we using crimson mace/sword/spear with Big Bell and Big Ben cards?

I forgot to mention, what if we use holy crimson weapon and using big bell and big ben. Which one is better, with STR build or INT build?

You can stat it balanced, but atk part is far easier to increase just because how the game has a lot of atk % mods and the matk counterpart are lower.

definitively INT. It seems INT also does more to everything else in the elements and racial circles, but ideally GC only does good damage to Demon/Shadow, Demon/Undead, Undead/Undead, Undead/Shadow. Anything Else/Shadow still sucks in damage

of course when it comes to genesis ray, the tables have obviously turned to benefit STR more than INT.

yes, and GR is regarded as a ranged physical skill because it works with the ice pick effect.

What I really want to see is the potency of GR and Hesperus Lit on full party Banding RG. But that day won't come, ever  :P

Made 2 RG already, and 2 more Crusader alts, for the sake of GR/Hesperus Lit Banding build. The idea of leveling and funding them both is horrifying. Yeah, call me silly

maybe the skill is ala cart cannon where int raises the atk mod of the skill?

 

i just want to see the potential of this skill, and yet when i ask for screenies it's always turned down.

 

i play @thor server so i look for alternatives with other aoe skills, overbrand is the best but you need kiels for it though.

it suck either way. The unbeatable combo to use is still imp shield+spear set. I am not sure where they got it wrong but the damage seems way higher than just 10%.
