I have been spent days searching the forums for help on stat and skill advice on any class.  Most if not all class forum guides are out of date or only pertain to higher/max level stats and gearing or higher/max level pvp stats and gearing.

 

Nothing really helps a new player.

 

I have read posts by new players asking questions which generally don't get answered.  Even if they do it is by someone referring them to an outdated guide or by someone who totally misses the point and tells them how to gear at max level and throws out some incomplete max stats and a skill or two.

 

I am a new player and there are others out there looking for answers that this older, higher level, community is unwilling or not interested in providing.  This type of indifference is an indicator that a game is waning and the only way to revive it is for the established community to go out of their way to help new players understand game mechanics, update general and class guides and pay attention to what is asked in a forum post.  Did you really answer the question being asked.

 

Yes some of those low level Newbies you see running around really are new and not just another alt.

I'd like to offer my help as well- you can pm me at the forum or whisper to me in game on HoneyBuns or Sulky.  I help newbies almost every day and I am glad to do it. Just poke me. I can help you understand how things work and where things are. I'll also be glad to help with buffs.

 

But remember, there is no one "best" way to build a character.  It depends on your playing style; your computer capabilities; your overall game goals; whether you plan to pvp.  There are many different variables even different skills based on the type of weapon within the job class. What's good for one person might not work for someone else.  Things change here pretty often so no guide would ever be 100% up to date but even the older ones can be used as reference.

 

The best advice is to check in the job class section for more recent topics about the class you are interested in and read the replies. Yes, maybe they are giving information on what to do at level 230 but you can use the ratio of the suggested stats as a final goal and adapt them to your lower level character. Generally, the stat that you need to equip your weapon is the one most important so for a hawker that's dex, a soldier - strength etc.  We can discuss it in more detail when we talk in game.

 

I've been playing ROSE for many years and I still love it as much today as I did on the first day.  This really is a nice community so I hope you give it/us another chance.

hey man i know how  u feel but i want to say that isn't all bad cuz in these game sometimes u will have to look for some staff on ur

 

own not cuz there is no one will help but cuz what is the style u want to play i can give u my way of style i hawkar

 

but maybe my style is wrong or will not work for u the way it worked for me

 

look gear and stat is the most hard thing i'm max lvl but i start from alll over in the gear and i want to reset my stat to my way of fight

 

so if u want any thing just ask  if u see me in the game just ask there is so many player here is will help u alot

Noticed alot of new players feel this way and are having trouble getting into the game, the reason behind this is partly that there are next to none crafted/dropped gears available.

 

 

There is no way for players to buy items from other players that are not online at the time, it has been said many times before and I hope it will be said many times again and again.

 

We need sometimes that allows players to sell items to everyone while offline, be it offline vending with a shop a Marketplace/auction house where you can post your items on for free or with a small fee.

 

 

This game is quit old now and changes like these are deffo nessesary to keep a small game like this alive.

Am trying to have a shop open, the character name is ''Trustworthyshop''. I sell all kind of items but at the price were you make profit and I make profit. For exemple. I sell ADP scrolls for 800 Zulie, you buy them for 1,000 Zulie at the NPC. But because of a passive (Discount) I buy them cheaper for 750. I normaly stand in Junon but I will spread out soon and have a shop at ADP, Zant. These shops I have, they are not made to make me going highly profit, it's to help new ones.

 

The prices for stuff is ridiculous high. You normally buy cheaper at the NPC than at a player shop. You see alot of scam shops at Zant, ADP trying to trick new people. For many people 10.000 Zulie it's nothing. But for new people, it can mean alot.

try to join a clan a lot of people are willing to help you with gears and parties so you can lvl faster. clan passives helps alot too when your are lvling.

Just refill the store and contiune. I had the shop total for 24 hours, alot of people have been buying but no high level has bought all of them.

Most of you completely are dismissing their point.  The fact that he had to come on the forums to get better at a game is where the failure is.  It's impossible to progress in this game with inflation, scammers, misdirection, and the unavailability to buy items and to party up with other players (because of the lack of players).  The problem isn't with just him but it's with every newbie in the game.  It's almost becoming too obvious that no one cares at all.  Too many people have cried for help but the real issues aren't being fixed.
