So, Classic WoE time is the only one that really changes? Catering to a small minority is probably not the best decision. Fear mongering should not dictate change.

I edited the post, but you were quick. I realized that it was insensitive for me to say that, but what Xellie said was totally off the radar and odd.
Minority = not the majority. Has nothing to do with race or anything like that; I treat everyone equally regardless of race, gender, etc.

And that's why they did it.

 

Incase you hadn't realize, Classic lost the majority of its players - the USA players in particular mostly went to pservers or merged down into one guild. What US players there are are mainly in 2 guilds, more in one that the other.

 

the second biggest guild on the server is korean.

 

Classic cannot afford these loses - so yeah, I talked to campitor, he said he'd pull the numbers and locations and act accordingly. I already knew well enough the demographics of classic because I talk to most of the active guildleaders / guilds.

 

So it's not a random complaint, it's a legitimate concern from someone who is quite well connected with Classic.

 

edit: my concerns were purely about sunday = monday morning in Asia.

edit 2: My comment was based on the fact that it's super ignorant to assume that Camp wasn't acting on behalf of the majority in the first place.

Quite frankly I appreciate your feedback but this is not some random change.

 

We examined the demographics of who is currently playing on the Classic server and found the users are primarily from the SEA/Oceania region. 

 

Technically its not even a change as the times are adjusting the WoE times so it stays the same for the Majority of users. Only US based users will be affected.

 

Currently

• WoE 1
  • Saturday 1pm PDT (GMT -7), 6AM Brisbane
• WoE 2
  • Sunday Noon PDT(GMT -7), 5AM Brisbane

 

New Classic Times

• WoE 1
  • Saturday Noon PST (GMT -8), 6AM Brisbane
• WoE 2
  • Sunday 11am PST(GMT -8), 5AM Brisbane

^ half true, Europe observes DST also so WoE will be early for us too, and SA also just started DST, so WoE will be 1 hour later than normal instead of 2 hours later now lol.

I think Sunday/Woe2 is the bigger problem on Classic but I'm glad we're discussing it early, anyways.  I want to hear more from people that can't make the new times o.o
