According to iROwiki:

This status ailment causes the following effects:

I saw this guide while looking for more information about this skill.

I'm just wondering if the 15% Variable cast time increase of this skill will be noticeable to classes that can achieve "no cast", when affected by this status, will a cast bar be displayed on their head?

Does it really reduce 50% of movement speed? will it be effective against speed pots?

Thanks

It works like % cast gears vs stats. It will stack additivelly with cast through gears but multiplicatively with stats. If the person reaches instant through stats, this part of the effect wont do nothing.

Yes

nidhoggur garb as proxy (i dunno why)

When it came out in kRO, p-servers translated it as Proxy Skin Fragment, since it was made from the skin of Nidghoggur's "Proxy", as she was not found in the fountain of Hvelgelmir. Here in iRO it's her "shadow", but AFAIK, it's not explained.

I tend to believe that these translations are a little bit closer to the original, even though many of them doesn't sound as good. The "Creator" class, for example (adapted as "Biochemist" here), had it's name properly translated in some official servers, like bRO. Though I cannot advocate for bRO's translators naming sense... XD

because korean language has no proper term for alchemy in general as alchemy is a foreign principle not in korean mysticism, therefore they call them creators

they called alchemists creators, japan calls biochem creator because they have a proper term for alchemist, and koreans call biochem....chemist. Language is wonderful.

Hi Everyone,

I am relatively new to iRO, and I am wondering what is the actual chance of leaving/activating the Freezing effect for the enemies. iRO Wiki says it is 80% at max, but when I look at my Frost Misty skill in game, it only says 50% chance at level 5. Would you please advise which percentage is actually implemented in game? I play at iRO Chaos. Thank you very much.

Best Regards

I heard it was 80% from the start, hence why it is written this way on iRO wiki. Then they nerfed it down to 50%, effectively making this skill unreliable and useless. Cant confirm this though, maybe it was 50% to begin with, but still there must be a reason that iRO wiki has it at 80%.

According to this thread from a few years ago, it seems that Frost Misty was indeed nerfed to a much lower success rate(not sure if it was 80%, but clearly much better than 50% it is right now). This confirms my theory that iRO wiki just never updated that page, it makes sense considering how useless Frost Misty is, no one bothers to spend time editing that page. Its interesting to note that they did it at the time Warlocks were still among the weakest classes, when there were no NCT combo cards, no Lacryma sets, no Flattery Robe, no Mob Scarf and of course no Magicians Gloves like we have now.

:hmm:

and there werent Mora gears, or 90% of the things that make any other class strong.

and it is not useless. It has it's uses, but mostly not for pvm.

Frost Misty is still good, WoE-wise lol.

It used to be a 24x24 with 80% chance of success before balance patch.

Now is like this:

Frost Misty

Fixed Cast Time: 0.5 second

Variable Cast Time: (1.5 + 0.5 * Skill Level)

Skill re-use Delay: 4 seconds

Global Skill Delay: 1 second

AoE: 19x19

Freezing chance: (25 + 5 * Skill Level) %

MATK [{( Skill Level x 100 ) + 200 } x ( Caster’s Base Level / 100 )] %

Freezing duration: 6 second Fixed + [ 7 second - { (Target’s VIT + DEX) / 20} second]

(Lasts minimum of 6 second)

Freezing status effect: - 50% movement speed / - 15% attack speed / + 15% Variable Cast Time, - 10% DEF.

umm WOE. Speaking of WOE though, do warlocks become good DPS dealers already? Or do guilds still expect warlocks to cast stasis?

WLs have always been one of the main damage sources in woe. And since stasis is retarded, yes you still use stasis.
