Hi everyone,

You may notice that some of the commentary has been removed.   This is because I want this discussion to focus on the players who are participating in the event.  Please keep in mind that these events are merely voluntary and if  you wish to participate you may and if you do not, that's okay too.  This is just an easy fun way to earn some prizes and maybe some phantom stones to try to get those cool Bone Wings, if you don't have them already.  Bottom line is having fun.

Title of Creation: Apple Spice Loaf

Ingredients:

1 1/2 Cups flour

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon baking powder

1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

1/8 teaspoon cloves

2 egg whites, slightly beaten

3/4 cup brown sugar, packed

3/4 cup applesauce

3 tablespoons canola oil

Optional:

1/4 cup chopped pecans

1/4 cup raisins

List the steps with at least two images:

1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.

2. In small bowl, add flour, baking soda, cinnamon, baking powder, nutmeg, and cloves. Sift all dry ingredients together.

3. In a larger bowl, add 2 egg whites and beat them until frothy.

4. Add brown sugar, applesauce, and canola oil. Whisk together until sugar is mixed throughout.

5. Add dry ingredients to wet, mixing until moist throughout and no flour clumps.  *Optional: Add raisins and pecans at this point.

6. Pour mixture into a greased 9x5 bread pan, spreading out evenly.

7. Bake for 40 minutes at 400 degrees, or until toothpick pulls out cleanly.

8. Let cool and refrigerate overnight or until served. Tastes best with butter spread on slices.

Additional Notes: This was the first time I tried this recipe. The taste is good but I let it cook a little bit too long trying to get the center of the loaf done, so the edges are really crispy. I think if I baked it again, I would split the batter between 2 small loaf pans instead of 1 large loaf pan so the outside wouldn't get so browned and it would cook more evenly. Also added cloves, pecans, and raisins to the recipe cause plain apple is a bit boring.  :p_laugh:

You have to make it yourself. No saying you couldn't find another person to help you though.
