but i can't render it as a video format.

What is the problem exactly?

Transferring the project file alone won't do.

A .wlmp file contains no video, photos or music within it and is NOT a movie file. It is a project file for Windows Live Movie Maker. What you need to do is open the project file in Windows Live Movie Maker and then tell it to create your movie. This is done by opening the first menu (Alt+F) and choosing Save Movie.... Choose to save to your computer and it will create a single .wmv file. That file can be played in Windows Media Player, uploaded to a video service (e.g. YouTube, Vimeo), copied to another PC for playback, etc.

So you'd have to transfer all necessary files as well. And unless you place them in exactly same paths on the second computer the project will vomit tons of errors about missing files etc

Or it's a "trial" of windows.

The trial version isnt letting me create the video because it is not part of the trial feature. :(

Thought Windows Movie Maker comes for free... I'm sure I downloaded and installed it on my sis' computer to create some video without having to pay for anything, and it's legit.

If you have a "Windows Movie Maker" or "Windows Live Movie Maker" and it says it's a trial and you need to pay, you don't have the legitimate Microsoft created software.

Windows Movie Maker comes with your operating system if you have XP or Vista. 7 and beyond don't support it. (You can use the Vista version if you have a Vista partition on your computer though).

Windows Live Movie Maker is available to XP, Vista (Both no longer supported), 7 and above and can be obtained here: https://support.micr...n-us/help/17779
