Where do you draw the line? Lots of emblems are hard to see in specific situations. I for one find that shade of grey easy to see on my completely legal, non-RCX client. You can take almost any emblem and put it against similar colours in WoE and you'll get the same feeling.

Topical: anyone got the linker guild emblem that basically started this? Yes I'm mad about emblems because my beautiful eddie emblem showed up in the 76k words thread even though it was only up outside of siege hours and even when it was legal, was quite visible.

 

i took a few hours to find the right album cover for that dang it i like it better than top hat

(I actually took that SS during WoE - sorry clickster. I quite like that emblem of yours too, but I don't like bs rules that aren't applied fairly, hence the SS)

It's still terribly hard to see with my vanilla visual effects on, did no one report it back then or something? Cant say i recall woring under anything but purple and the alde alliance one before i left. Also i was like 15 i just wanted to hit the mans with fist daggers jeez

Well, anytime I look at the emblem you posted over LoV, it still stands out and is visible. The grey emblem at first glance could get missed. (As the OG poster said; especially by the char name)

I lost like 10 emblems to that rule (CBA to remake all, like the KILL ME emblem, got belt? etc), yet some of the legal ones are a lot more obnoxious imo (do you remember the purple one that had every other pixel removed?)

 

Thing is, people see colours differently anyway. Things that are easy for one to see aren't for another. Like I have massive gripes with the old valk emblem tbh, but the old linker one was easy to see vs a precast.

 

If any other guild did this, nobody would bat an eyelid. There were guilds running around with every pixel removed, and players with no guild/emblem at all. You complain about us having a grey emblem because of one LK, but wouldn't complain if he wasn't in a guild with NO(!) Emblem.

 

Very silly.

 

(p.s: put the grey emblem over LOV and it's SUPER easy to see.)

You realize that "Xellie" is spelled with 2 Ls and that isn't me, right? Also that guild was made by that person purely to break that emp to econ raid (read it didn't exist before WoE or even 5 mins before that screenshot) but I can find screenies of you, personally, in parties harassing me if we want to backtrack a few months and hold you responsible for things other people did.

I find immature party names to be less game breaking than things like no emblem so you're welcome to post whatever you'd like. I'd much rather be known for being a party member in a party that had a dubious name versus changing emblems, using no emblem, or other shady exploits. Unfortunately for you we also have video footage of your entire guild not using an emblem, but wait...let me guess. You're going to say that the emblem simply bugged or did not load for the person who recorded. Skip to 15:59.

Which is basically what you're doing by supporting that harassment. Oh we had this conversation didn't we already. I'm the female so I should be the one dragging up things over a year old. I know you're upset because you realized now that was Romeu and not me, so you had to dig back further - but try to keep focused on now. Rather than derailing the thread into tirades territory and making it all personal.

 

I'm not the one in the guild who had to had rules made and changed to assist them, or resorting to report spam to create said rules.

 

Oda may of course sit here and blame me for all of this stuff, you know, me following the game rules, but the community basically coming together because they got solo'd or something, dragging things up from over a year ago  etc etc.

 

I'd rather be "mean" by using camo than you know... this.

 

 

What? you're reporting the thread to Oda now? But you were doing such a good job attacking me and dragging up the past for no reason other than I used a grey emblem that happens to be the same colour as Greyworld. (which is obviously my fault!)

Look I could go on. The emblem is part of the client functionality. If you guys hadn't ACTUALLY CHEATED (as opposed to using a bm tactic) I wouldn't feel the need to use disrespectful tactics in the past. If you hadn't DDOS'd my TS, I wouldn't have felt the need to use bm tactics. Note: Tactics. I don't do anything that is outside of the client and needs a third party program and since the rules were posted I stopped.

tbh I think the issue with Ecclesio's screenshot is that the guild was created after WoE started and it was against the rules to change emblem during woe.  I know that sounds a little disingenuous but when your guild leader is the only person to ever be banned for emblem swapping during WoE, you think about that kind of thing.  I can check my recordings but yeah.

Unless using no emblem was suddenly now legal I don't see how it's passable though, regardless if it was created mid WoE. Because otherwise everyone could use the defense of "I created a guild mid woe so I don't have to use an emblem lolll." Clarification from the GM team on this would probably save a lot of frustration on the part of players and GM's handling tickets.
